Another Mystery Parts Using Forever & Always

My Downline and I have done another Mystery Parts event (thanks again, Diana Gibbs).  This is where one of us sends card making parts to the others in the group and we make a card out of them.  We send the cardstock, Designer Series Paper and an embellishment or two.  Each of us has to use our own stamps and we can add anything we want to it as long as we use the parts that were sent.

Here is a photograph of the parts:

I sent them each some Night Of Navy  and Basic White cardstock, a piece of the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper which is in the 2021 Sale-a-bration Catalog and a piece of twine from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack.

Here is my card.

Stampin Up Forever & Always

Whenever I decide to purchase a stamp set or bundle, I try to see if there are more than one way to use it.  Can it be used for birthdays and thanks?  Anniversaries and Valentines?  Sympathy and hello?  You get the picture.  When I first saw the stamp set called Forever and Always and the coordinating dies called Always I fell in love with the dies.  I love big word dies!  Although the words love and always are normally associated with anniversaries and Valentines, I realized the flowers can be used anytime and the words can be used for my grandchildren!  It was just the excuse I needed to buy it.  I have already made a card for my granddaughter, Emy, which I will show sometime in the future.

To make this card I first cut a 4″ x 5.5″ piece of the Sale-a-bration Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper.  You can get this paper for FREE with a qualifying order until February 28th.  As a matter of fact, if you purchase the Forever & Always Bundle (you’ll save 10% by doing this) and Memento Ink, Stampin Blends or a pack of cardstock, you will be able to get this Designer Series Paper for free!  Then I stamped the three flowers in Memento Black Ink and colored them with Rococo Rose Stampin Blends.  I stamped the leaves in Garden Green ink and then cut everything out using the coordinating dies.  The sentiment is from that stamp set called Peaceful Moments which is in the 2020/2021 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog.

Here are the other cards the ladies made using these products.  I love how each one came out differently.

Forever & Always

Stampin Up Forever & AlwaysToday is the last day of my Designer Series Paper posts.  If you have been following me you know that all my posts this week use a lot of DSP.  I am a hoarder and I have decided that I don’t want to have tons of retired paper in boxes all over the place so I am determined to use it. The hardest is always that first cut.  Once you do that, it becomes easier to use.

Stampin Up Forever & Always

This time I decided to use the Designer Series Paper pack called Paper Blooms.  The best part of this pack is it was FREE!  Yes, it is Sale-a-bration time and Paper Blooms is one of the products you can get for FREE with a qualifying order!  In the past Sale-a-bration was always once a year.  Sometimes it was January & February.  Then a few years ago Stampin’ Up!® added March.  This year, 2021, they are celebrating it in January & February AND once again in July and August with totally different products!

Stampin Up Forever & Always

To make these cards I first cut two pieces of the Paper Blooms DSP 3.75″ x 5″.  Then I cut it diagonally.  This gave me four triangles.  One side is Rococo Rose colors and the other is Night Of Navy so I was able to get two cards out of this.  I backed the Night of Navy side onto a 4″ x 5.25″ piece of Night Of Navy Cardstock and the Rococo Rose side onto a the same sized piece of Rococo Rose cardstock.  Both of these were then adhered to a Basic White cardstock.

The I decided to use the Forever & Always Bundle that is in the 2021 January – June Mini Catalog.  This bundle includes the Forever & Always stamp set and the Always Dies.  If you purchase both of these in a Bundle you would save 10%.  Then if you purchased something else for $4.25 you would be able to get the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper (or many of the other products in the Sale-a-bration Catalog) for FREE!  I cut the inside sentiments (always and Love) using Basic White cardstock and layered them onto either Rococo Rose or Night of Navy cardstock.  Then I stamped the small word sentiments in Night Of Navy.  I layered the “Love” onto a piece of Basic White cardstock I had cut out using the Stitched Shapes dies.

I hope this week’s posts have helped you get over your DSP hoarding.  I know it has helped me.  I plan on making a lot of cards in the future using it.
