Crafting Forever For FMS

I have not participated in a sketch challenge in a really long time but I came across the Freshly made Sketches challenge this week and really liked the sketch. Whenever I get stuck creating I look for a sketch challenge and then fit that sketch to products I own. Here is their sketch:

I used the stamp set called Crafting Forever to make this card. This stamp set is in the 2018/2019 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog. I first stamped the image with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and the colored it using my Smoky Slate, Pool Party, Highland Heather and Daffodil Delight Dark and Light Stampin’ Blends. Then I cut three 1/2″ strips of paper from the Subtles 6′ X 6″ Designer Series Paper Pack. The sentiment is from the stamp set called Itty Bitty Birthdays. This set is in the 2019 Occasion Catalog.

White Christmas For Freshly Made Sketches

White Christmas, Sneak Peek

Here is a bunch of sneak peeks from the Holiday Catalog! I used the card layout from Freshly Made Sketches. Here is this week’s sketch:

I used a new Photopolymer Stamp Set called White Christmas that will be in the Holiday Catalog that comes out on August 28th. The Designer Series Paper is also in the Holiday Catalog and it is called All Is Calm. The paper is absolutely beautiful and uses the colors Pear Pizzazz, Smoky Slate, Lost Lagoon and Soft Sky. You are going to love it. Did you see the silver sequins? They are also in the Holiday Catalog. I think this catalog is the best one ever! It has awesome products in it and offers a little bit of everything for everyone’s taste.

Here is my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches. I used the stamp set called Happy Hour. It is a great stamp set because it can be used year round. You just change the colors and the embellishments to fit the season. The candy cane and holly is perfect for Christmas. There is fruit and umbrellas which are great for summer if you live in the North and winter if you live in the south. Of course, any time of year is Margarita time and the set even comes with a lime wedge.

Freshly Made Sketches – Festive Flurry

Here is my entry for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week. I used the stamp set called Festive Flurry that has matching Framelits also called Festive Flurry. If you buy both in a Bundle you can save 15%. The set has four very large snowflakes that are so easy to cut out with the Framelits. There is no poking little pieces out which is one of the things I love about this set.

In the middle of the snowflake I put an embellishments called Frosted Finishes. These are really so beautiful in real life and it is hard to see just how sparkly they are in a picture. They are absolutely gorgeous.

Having A Tea Party With Fresh Made Sketches

For this week’s Freshly Made Sketches I used the new stamp set called Tea Party. There are two morning drink sets in the new catalog. One features coffee (it is called A Perfect Blend) and I have noticed that many of my coffee drinking friends have gotten this set. I have never had a cup of coffee in my life but I do drink one cup of tea in the morning so I thought it was appropriate for me to get this set. This “battle” between coffee and tea drinkers has been going on for a long time. It is kind of like the Android versus Apple conflict. Don’t ask what side of the fence I am in that argument, although most of you probably know already. Just ask my husband, Rob! For now, I won’t even go there! I am sorry for my digression.

Here is my entry for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches #96. For this card I used Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral card stock for my color choices. I think they go really well together. The stamp set I used is called Chalk Talk and it has matching Chalk Talk Framelits. These Framelits are a great way to make a tag which is very popular these days. You can buy the stamps and the Framelits as a Bundle and save 15%. I embossed the Whisper White card stock with the Chevron Embossing Folder and the ribbon is the new 3/4″ Chevron Ribbon and is fabulous! Here is this week’s sketch:

Freshly Made Sketches #88

I needed a quick and easy birthday card for a man and just happen to check the Freshly Make Sketches challenge and thought it was a great sketch to use. Sometimes you just need to make a card and you don’t have a lot of time. What could be easier than using a couple of pieces of card stock you already had cut, ink one stamp and run one edge through the Big Shot? The stamp I used is from Delightful Dozen and is perfect for just about any sentiment.

My card for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge uses a couple of the new In Colors (Coastal Cabana and Crisp Cantaloupe) and a new regular color (Smoky Slate) coming in the new catalog. I am already in love with all these new colors. They remind me of sunshine and tropical beaches so I decided to make my card using By The Seashore. The sentiment is from Sweet Essentials.

For my card I used the stamp set from the Occasions Catalog called Make A Wish. This is a great all around birthday stamp set. You can use it for invitations, birthday cards or any kind of celebration. I used the Chevron Embossing Folder on the background and the balloons were punched using the Small Oval Punch.
