Gather Together

Stampin Up Gather Together

The last month or so I really wanted to purchase a pack of Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper   but it was out of stock for quite a while.  I blame Jackie for me wanting it so much.  She has been posting the most beautiful cards using this paper that I had to have it.  Buffy and Jackie continue to influence me with their beautiful designs so I am used to having to purchase things because of them.  In any case, I was able to purchase it a couple of weeks ago and I am so glad I did.  It is even prettier in person than in the catalog.

I decided to pair this paper with the stamp set called Gather Together.  This stamp set has coordinating dies called Gathered Leaves.  The stamp set has beautiful leaves, as well as pumpkins and sentiments.

To make this card I first cut a piece of Crushed Curry using the leaf die.  I kept the leaf for another project and decided to use the negative cut for this card.  I stamped the pumpkins on Pumpkin Pie cardstock using Memento Black Ink and cut them out using the dies.  The tiny leaves are from a new stamp set called Beautiful Autumn.  This set has three punches to go with it called Autumn Punch Pack (you can save 10% by purchasing them in a bundle).  I stamped the leaves on Rich Razzleberry cardstock and punched them out.  The sentiment is also from the stamp set called Beautiful Autumn.  I love the font as well as the sentiment.

One Last Gather Together

This is my last Gather Together card this month.  The good news is this Bundle is carrying over into the 2020 Holiday Catalog.    Honestly though, this is such a great Bundle that if you love it, you should purchase it today.  Even though it is carrying over, you will not get the 10% discount on the bundle after January 2, 2020.  That deal goes away forever.  The Bundle includes the stamp set called Gather Together and the dies called Gathered Leaves.

I also think this is one of my favorite cards I have made using this set.  I love the In Color called Pretty Peacock and it goes really well with Pool Party as well as a variety of other colors.

To make this card, I first layered a piece of Pretty Peacock Designer Series Paper from the pack called Come To Gather over a Pretty Peacock card base.  I put a piece of Pool Party cardstock on top of this and stamped the leaf using Pretty Peacock ink.  Then I cut out another leaf out of another piece of Come To Gather Designer Series Paper.  I only used the negative of this die cut.  I actually got this idea from Jackie (a member of the Stamp Off Challenges).  She uses the negative of a die cut quite often and I love how it looks.  I used Dimensionals to pop it up.  Lastly I cut out the leaf and stamped the sentiment.

Gather Together With Pumpkins

I know.  I am posting another Gather Together Card.  I can’t help it.  I love this set.  It is great for Fall, Halloween and Thanksgiving cards.  I used it as a birthday card today.  By the way, as a warning, I’ll have a few more cards to post using this Bundle.  I think every card I have made look totally different so it is a very versatile stamp set.

To make this very simple card I first stamped the pumpkins in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  Then I colored them using my Light and Dark Pumpkin Pie Blends.  I used the matching dies called Gathered Leaves to cut them out.  This set of dies has two identical dies that cut out the smaller pumpkins which saves time.  Stampin’ Up!® does that a lot.

Then I tried to figure out where I wanted the pumpkins and stamped the wheat in Soft Suede and then took a Aqua Painter and added a little Seaside Spray Ink so it didn’t look like the pumpkins were floating in the air.   Then layered the pumpkins on top.  Lastly I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set called Itty Bitty Greetings in Soft Suede too.

Today is the last day for the Online Extravaganza!

Gather Together

As you can probably tell, Gather Together is one of my favorite Bundles in the 2019 Stampin’ Up!® Holiday Catalog.  I have been posting it a lot lately.  It is also one my my customer’s favorite sets as many of them have purchased it.

To make this card I first needed to decide what colors to use.  Sometimes I pick a stamp set to decide what card to make but sometimes I pick Designer Series Paper.  Some of the colors that are on the various packs of DSP are not anything I would have thought to put together but they always look gorgeous.  I used the Come To Gather Designer Series Paper.  This particular piece  is Cajun Craze and Merry Merlot.  I decided that since these were pretty dark colors I wanted to add a little pop to them so I took out my Champagne Foil Sheets to cut the leaves and frame the Designer Series Paper.  If you haven’t seen this paper in person let me tell you that it is gorgeous.  It is a very soft and elegant gold.  Here is a tip on saving some paper ~ cut the leaves (or other shapes) out of the middle of the piece of cardstock or foil.  You won’t see where you cut it out because you have it layered underneath another piece.  I do this all the time.

Once I decided on colors and backgrounds I stamped Merry Merlot Leaf in Merry Merlot ink.  and then cut it out using the matching dies called Gathering Leaves.  By the way, you can save 10% by purchasing the stamp set and dies together in a Bundle.  I stamped the sentiment in Merry Merlot ink too on a piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Gather Together

This is another card we made at an October class.  It is one of my favorite ones we made and I totally forgot to show it to you.  We used products from the Come Together Suite that is in the Stampin’ Up!® Holiday Catalog.  I love it that Stampin Up! groups a bunch of products that go se well together.

For this card we used the stamp set called Gather Together.  This set has matching dies called Gathered Leaves and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  One of the fun things about these die is, not only do they cut out some of the images in the stamp set but there are extra dies in that cut and emboss at the same time.  If you look at the Crushed Curry leaf you will see it is embosses with the veins of the leaf too.

To make this card I first stamped the background using the Birch stamp in Crumb Cake and layered it on a Crumb Cake card base.  Then I cut a Hexagon out using the Stitched Nested Label Dies from the Annual Catalog also in Crumb Cake cardstock.  I stamped the wheat and the sentiment in Crumb Cake ink.  Then I stamped the big leaf and the pumpkins in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and cut them out using the matching dies and colored them using the light and dark Stampin Blends in Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie.  Lastly I tucked the Crushed Curry leaf under the pumpkins.

Gather Together

Hello everyone.  It is time for another Stamp Off Challenge with Buffy, Jackie and myself.  I love our Stamp Off Challenges because sometimes they really are challenging!  Today is my favorite challenge to have.  It is a sketch challenge by Jackie.

Here is my card.

I decided to use a stamp set from the Stampin’ Up!® 2019 Holiday Catalog called Gather Together.  This stamp set has matching dies called Gathered Leaves and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.

The colors I used for this card are Pool Party and Pretty Peacock.  I stamped the leaf in Pretty Peacock ink onto a piece of Pool Party card stock and then cut it out using one of the dies.  Then I layered it on a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock I had cut out using the Stitched Shapes die set.  I layered two strips of Designer Series Paper called Come To Gather.  The sentiment is from the stamp set called Beauty & Joy.  This stamp set is also in the 2019 Holiday Catalog.  I stamped it in Pretty Peacock ink onto Pool Party cardstock and then cut it out using a die from Stitched Rectangles.

Now let’s go see what Jackie and Buffy made with this sketch challenge.  I am sure their creations will be amazing!

Gather Together

Hello everyone.  It is time for another Stamp Off Challenge with Buffy, Jackie and me.  This time our challenge was to make a card using Stampin’ Blends.  I do have to say, I am not the best colorer but I love using Blends.  They blend smoothly with each other and are easy to work with.  I have seen some gorgeous cards using Blends and I am always envious that there are so many talented people out there who can color.  I just do my best (which isn’t very good!).

I used a stamp set from the Stampin’ Up!® 2019 Holiday Catalog called Gather Together.  This set is part of a Suite called Come To Gather.  It has matching dies (and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle), Designer Series Paper called Come To Gather, ribbon and embellishments.

To make this card I first stamped the leaves and pumpkin with Memento Ink and cut them out with the matching dies.  I colored them with the Dark and Light Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight, So Saffron, Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede Blends.  Then I cut out the two textured leaves in Cajun Craze cardstock.  I stamped the wheat stamp in Crumb Cake ink onto a Crumb Cake card base and then layered everything on top.  I stamped the sentiment last.

Now let’s go see what Jackie and Buffy made.  They are terrific colorers.  Someday maybe they can give me a lesson!
