Good Morning Magnolia Gift Card Holder

We had a lot of fun at our monthly class a couple of weeks ago.  One of the projects we made was this gift card holder.  Here are some photographs of what it looks like inside.

We used new products from the Stampin’ Up!® 2019/2020 Annual Catalog.  The stamp set is called Good Morning Magnolia.  This set is absolutely beautiful.  It has matching dies called Magnolia Memory.  The dies not only cut out most of the images in the stamp set, it also cuts the pieces for the flower we put on the band.  The Designer Series Paper I used is called Garden Lane.

To make this card you will need the following sizes:

(1) 8 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ cardstock

(2) 3″ x 4″ Whisper White cardstock

(1) 3″ x 4″ DSP

(2) 1 7/8″ x 3″ DSP (to hold the gift card in)

(1) 4″ x 2 1/4″ DSP cut with the  fancy die as close as possible to the edge

(1) 1″ x 7 1/2″ cardstock for the wrap

Plus you will need to cut out 2 of each petal size (I used Whisper White), one large flower center ( So Saffron) and 1 small flower center (Soft Suede).

To make this gift card holder you start out with a 8 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of cardstock.  I used Garden Green.  Then you score it at 3 1/4″ and 6 1/2″ turn the paper 90 degrees and score again at 2 1/8″ and 6 3/8″.  Your cardstock should look like this:

Then cut off the four corners so your cardstock looks like this:

Then you just stamp and decorate like the pictures above.  The sentiment was punched out using the new Timeless Label Punch.  The fancy edge on the top of the gift card holder is a die that is included in the Magnolia Memory die set.

Gift Card Holder

Hang Your Stockings, Gift Card Holder, Stampin Up, susanstamps.wordpress.com

Here is a quick and easy gift card holder for that last minute gift you couldn’t come up with.  There are just some people that are hard to buy for.  You look and look for a gift and come up with nothing.  There are only a couple more days left until Christmas.  Now is the time to settle on a gift card.  You can buy one from a local restaurant, a department store, Amazon or me!  Yes, I do sell gift certificates for that hard to buy for person.

This gift card holder was very easy to make.  There is a pocket at the top where you can just pop a gift card into.  I used the stamp set called Hang Your Stocking for the sentiment and holly.  Then I cut it out using the Layering Circles Framelits (which just happen to be on sale this month).  The Designer Series Paper is called This Christmas and can be found in the 2017 Annual Catalog.

Better hurry.  Christmas is almost here!

Yesterday I showed you the gift bag I made using Designer Series Paper.  Today I am showing you a matching card to go with the bag.  Another demonstrator named Jackie Topa did a video showing how to make this gift card using the new Envelope Punch Board.  Here is a picture of the card being opened.

As you open the card the inside insert slides up to reveal your message.  You can put a gift card or money inside.  Isn’t that so clever?

Pop ‘n Cuts Gift Card

I love the Pop ‘N Cuts Card Base that is in the Occasions Catalog.  Not only does it make cute cards with the Pop ‘n Cuts Dress Form, you can also make cards that have other shapes beside the dress form.  This  next card, I used the Card Base and the Dress Form but then cut off the dress safe and covered it with the Top Note Bigz Die to make a Pop Up Gift Card holder.
