Stampin’ Up!® comes out with some very innovative products sometimes. They patented DisINKtive stamp sets where each stamp creates different opacities in a single stamp which brings depth to the image. The latest fun product they came up with is a die and embossing folder that go together. You can emboss a piece of card stock and then cut out those embossed images using the die. They introduced one in the 2021 Holiday Mini Catalog and now they have another one called Twigs & Sprigs. I wanted to make a card using both the embossing folder and the die cuts on a card so you could see how they come out.
To make this card I first embossed a 4″ x 5.25″ piece of Orchid Oasis card stock using the Trips & Sprigs Embossing Folder. I adhered that to a Tahitian Tide card base. Next, I embossed a piece of Basic White, Tahitian Tide and Parakeet Party card stock and cut the images out using the Trips & Sprigs die. The one large die cuts out all the images at once. Next, I stamped the sentiment using Orchid Oasis ink onto a 1″ x 5.25″ piece of Basic White card stock and layered that onto a 1.25″ x 5.25″ piece of Tahitian Tide card stock. I glued all the embossed pieces behind the sentiment strip and then adhered it all to the card. Lastly, I added some 2022-2024 Incolor Matte Decorative Dots.
Honestly, I don’t think this is the prettiest card but it does show you how the Twigs & Sprigs Embossing Folder and Die Set works and looks.
