Only Two More Days For The DSP Special

There are only two more days to get this fantastic deal on Designer Series Paper.  If you buy three packages of select designs you can get one for free!  That is $11 off!

I love Designer Series Paper (for the rest of this post I will call it DSP because it is just too long to type out!).  It is the best way to make a quick and easy card that looks great too!  To make this card, I just cut two pieces of DSP from the Best Route pack, adhered it to a piece of Mango Melody cardstock and adhered that to a 8.5″ x 5.5″ piece of Pineapple Punch cardstock folded in half.  Then I just stamped the sentiment from Happy Birthday Gorgeous and cut it out using the Everyday Label Punch.  I think this would make a great masculine card the way it is or you can add a flowers or some sequins to make it more feminine.

These are the DSP paper packs that are eligible for this Buy 3 Get 1 Free promotion.

I was going to tell you which are my favorites, but honestly I love them all.  This sale ends tomorrow so don’t miss out!

Don’t forget to check out my Star Rewards Program!  If you purchase the 3 packs of DSP you are only $17 away from earning a star!

Celebrate You

Here is another color combination that I would never think of putting together in the past. I have been having a lot of fun experimenting with colors and I really love how this one came out.

To make this card I first cut out all the different circles using the Eastern Medallions Thinlits. The colors I used are Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana. I popped you the smaller circles using Dimensionals. Then I cut out the word “celebrate” using the Celebrate You Thinlits in Grapefruit Grove. Grapefruit Grove is one of the new InColors.

The sentiment is from the stamp set called Happy Birthday Gorgeous. The stamp really says It’s Your Day but I masked off the word “It’s” before stamping it. This is super easy to do. I just cover the word I do not want to stamp with tape. Then I ink the stamp and remove the tape before stamping on my cardstock.

Valentine’s Day

❤️❤️❤️  Happy Valentine’s Day  ❤️❤️❤️

I love Valentine’s Day because it is a day to show the ones you love, that you love them and are thinking about them. You don’t have to buy presents for each other on this day.  All you need to do is to send a card.  What is even better is to send them a homemade card.  It shows you spent a little ahead of time thinking about them and wanting to let them know.  Each card you make is different even if you use the same design.  Each card you make is for a specific person whom you care about.  What more could you ask for?  I love each and every Valentine I receive in the mail because of this.  I think we should start a #BRINGVALENTINESBACK day!

I made this card using the stamp set called Heart Happiness.  I know you have seen me use it a lot but I think it is very cute.  I stamped each heart and then cut them out using the Sweet & Sassy Framelits Dies.  The sentiment is from Happy Birthday Gorgeous.

Daisy Delight

Last week BS & J Productions did a Stamp Off Sketch Challenge.  Sometimes we set up these challenges weeks ahead of time.  Sometimes I see the challenges and get a card in my head so I make it a long time before it is scheduled to post.  This is the case with this card.  I saw the sketch, made the card and then promptly forgot about it.  I was going through my stash today and found it.  Sometimes it is hard to get old and lose my mind!

So, again, here is the sketch challenge from last week:

Funny how my card I posted for the official challenge (HERE) looks exactly the same except for the different products!  I guess that is what a sketch challenge is all about.

This time I used the stamp set called Daisy Delight.  This was the most popular set in the 2017/2018 Annual Catalog when it first came out.  It has a matching punch called Daisy and the punch itself sold the entire 6 month supply in a week (or something like that).  It was a crazy time but no worries.  Stampin’ Up! has it back in stock.  You can save 10% by purchasing both in a Bundle.  There is also matching Designer Series Paper called Delightful Daisy.

The sentiment is from a stamp set called Happy Birthday Gorgeous.

If you purchased the Daisy Delight Bundle, the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper and a pack of cardstock you would be eligible to choose a free item from the Sale-a-bration Catalog.

A Backwards Eclipse Card

Every knows how Eclipse Cards are the biggest rage right now.  I even posted two of them in the last couple of weeks.  I decided that a backwards Eclipse Card might be just as nice.  Normally, you stamp the entire background of a piece of cardstock and then cut out the letters and layer them back using Dimensionals.  This time I cut the letters from Large Letters in a plain piece of Whisper White cardstock and then stamped the letters using the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp set.  The colors I used were Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, Lemon Lime Twist and Daffodil Delight.  Then I pieced the letters back into the piece of Whisper White cardstock that I originally cut the letters out of using Stampin’ Dimentionals.  I love the Eclipse Cards but I love this backwards card too.

The “Happy” sentiment is from Happy Birthday Gorgeous.  I used the stamp that says Happy Birthday but I covered the “Birthday” with tape, inked the stamp and them removed the tape so only the “Happy” was stamped.

Happy Birthday, Gorgeous

I have to say, August is definitely the best month to have a birthday in.  Of course, my birthday is in August but so many of my friends also have birthdays this month.  As you know, we have a cottage and I found out that there are birthdays on the 20th, 23rd (mine), 24th and 25th all within 2 or 3 cottages from ours.  My New Hampshire daughter has an August birthday too, as well as my brother in law, Bill, my other brother in law, Peter, my father in law and a couple of friends.  Needless to say, I needed to make a lot of birthday cards!  I also received a lot of birthday cards which I will show you in the  next couple of days.

I made this card using the stamp set called Happy Birthday Gorgeous.  The balloons in this set match the Balloon Bouquet Punch which makes it so easy to stamp and punch out.  I added a few sequins from the Mini Sequin Trim in Silver to add a little sparkle to the card.  The colors I used are Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry and Flirty Flamingo.

Happy Birthday everyone!

Happy Birthday Gorgeous Geraniums

Everywhere I look people have these beautiful Geraniums in their yards.  They hang from porches and are planted in big pots all over the place.  I love Geraniums but unfortunately I am a plant killer.  Either I over water them or forget to water them at all so they just shrivel up and die.  It is sad and pathetic.

Stampin’ Up! doesn’t have a Geranium stamp so I thought I would make my own.  I used a couple of flowers from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set that is in the Annual Catalog.  It is a two set stamp set which means you use two stamps to make one image.  I used Berry Burst and Powder Pink to make the flowers.  Then I used an Aqua Painter to soften them.

The border is a new punch in the catalog.  It is called Decorative Ribbon Border.

Here is a picture of Emory Jade on her first 4th of July.  She has these beautiful big brown eyes.  She is also growing up way too fast!

Happy Birthday

I know this card is not very patriotic because I didn’t use red, white and blue but it is still a birthday card so I decided to post it today.  Although things are kind of crazy in this world today, I still love this country and I am proud to be an American.

I made this card using a new die called Happy Birthday (such a surprise!).  I love this die  It is very large, as you can see, and it uses a fun font.  This die goes with a stamp set called Happy Birthday Gorgeous and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.

To make this card, I cut out the die using Pool Party and Bermuda Bay Cardstock.  I kept the pool party negative section and pieced the Bermuda Bay words onto it.  Then I had to glue all the little itty bitty teeny tiny pieces of Pool Party back onto it.  It was kind of like doing a jigsaw puzzle.

Happy Birthday, America.  You are still an amazing place and I wouldn’t live anywhere else.

Happy Birthday Gorgeous

This is a fun card I made using a stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! 2017/2018 Annual Catalog.  The set is called Happy Birthday Gorgeous.  The Happy Birthday Thinlits die goes with this set and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.

You already know the die is one of my favorites but it was also a favorite at my monthly stamp club meeting.  Most of the ladies bought this one.  I love the size of it and the stamp set is a lot of fun.  It is a two step stamp set which means you use two different stamps to make an image.  In this case, each of the flowers has an outline stamp and then an inside stamp.  It is super easy to line up because it is Photopolymer which means you can see through it for exact placement.

Speaking of gorgeous, guess who came to visit us last weekend!  Sam and Tara had a wedding to go to in this area so Rob and I got to watch Madelyn for them.  Every time I see her, she seems to be so much bigger and her vocabulary is amazing.  I could even understand most everything she said so Mom and Dad didn’t have to be interpreters.  Plus she gets prettier every time I see her (yes, I am a little biased!)!

Happy Birthday

Stampin’ Up! has a new die in the 2017/2018 Annual Catalog that I just love.  It  is called Happy Birthday Thinlits Die.  It is a big die (3.5″ x 3″) and we all know how much I love big dies!  It has a matching stamp set called Happy Birthday Gorgeous.  You can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.

This is one of the cards we made last night at our monthly stamp club meeting.  The balloon is from Happy Birthday Gorgeous and it coordinates with Ballon Bouquet Punch.  This set also coordinates with the Classic Label Punch (although I didn’t use it for this card).  The Designer Series Paper is called Pick A Pattern.

Last week we went on vacation with Madelyn and her family.  My 92 year old mother lives nearby so she got to visit with all of us too.  We all went out for lunch one day.  Madelyn loved her Great Grandma!
