Sure Do You Love

This is always such a fun time yet such a sad time in the Stampin’ Up! world.  As you know I went to OnStage last weekend.  We got copies of the amazing new 2018/2019 catalog.  That part is very exciting and fun.  There are amazing new products coming your way on June 1st.  Along with the awesome, we do have a little sadness in seeing what products are not being carried over.  The products used in the card are all retiring.   That makes me sad because I love some of these products.

There are actually two stamp sets I used.  Both of them are in the 2018 Occasions Catalog and will not be carried over.  The striped heart is from the stamp set called Heart Happiness.  I love this little heart because it is so different.  I used my Stampin’ Write Markers to color the different stripes (Lemon Lime Twist, Calypso Coral and Blushing Bride).  Then I cut it out using the set of dies called Lots to Love Box.  These dies go with another stamp set called Sure Do Love You and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  The Basic Black heart and the banner come from this set.

Last but not least, the Designer Series Paper I used on this card is called Picture Perfect Party and is also retiring.  Of course, most Designer Series Paper in a mini catalog such as the Occasions Catalog, is not carried over.  We kind of know that ahead of time.

Remember all products (except stamps) that are retiring are “while supplies last” so if you like something, you need to purchase it fairly quickly before it sells out for good.

Valentine’s Day

❤️❤️❤️  Happy Valentine’s Day  ❤️❤️❤️

I love Valentine’s Day because it is a day to show the ones you love, that you love them and are thinking about them. You don’t have to buy presents for each other on this day.  All you need to do is to send a card.  What is even better is to send them a homemade card.  It shows you spent a little ahead of time thinking about them and wanting to let them know.  Each card you make is different even if you use the same design.  Each card you make is for a specific person whom you care about.  What more could you ask for?  I love each and every Valentine I receive in the mail because of this.  I think we should start a #BRINGVALENTINESBACK day!

I made this card using the stamp set called Heart Happiness.  I know you have seen me use it a lot but I think it is very cute.  I stamped each heart and then cut them out using the Sweet & Sassy Framelits Dies.  The sentiment is from Happy Birthday Gorgeous.

A Valentine Stamp Off Challenge

Hello again!  It is time for another Stamp Off Challenge featuring BS & J Productions (Buffy, Susan and Jackie).  Today’s challenge is to make a Valentine’s Day card.

I used the stamp set called Heart Happiness to make my card for this challenge.

Heart Happiness is a perfect set to use to make a Valentine’s Day card.  It actually has a set of Framelits that go with it and that go with another stamp set called Sure Do Love You.  That is one of the great things I love about Stampin’ Up!.  You can mix and match stamp sets, dies and colors because everything goes together so well.

First I colored the larger hearts using my Stamping’ Write Markers in Flirty Flamingo, Marina Mist and Island Indigo.  Then I stamped the little heart and cut all of them out using the dies called Lots To Love Box.

I also used the stamp set called Number Of Years and a set of Framelits called Large Numbers to make the banner for this card.

Now let’s go see what Jackie and Buffy made for their Valentine’s Day card.

Heart Happiness

In case you have been living in a cave recently and not looked at a calendar I thought I should warn you that Valentine’s Day is coming soon (soon meaning a couple of weeks).  You were probably wondering why you saw so many cards with hearts on them.  Oh wait, you were in a cave so you probably didn’t notice.  In any case, you need to start thinking about those Valentines.

If you are a little late to the game, the easiest way to make a bunch of cute Valentines is to use the new Whisper White Narrow Note Cards & Envelopes that are in the 2018 Catalog.  I love these note cards.  There are 20 to a pack and they include 20 envelopes.  As a side note, apparently the package says 40 on it.  There are only 20 cards so don’t get confused.

To make this very simple care I inked the heart stamp from Heart Happiness with Sweet Sugarplum ink right onto the notecard.  Then I stamped the small heart on Whisper White cardstock with Sahara and and cut it out using the Sweet & Sassy Framelits and adhered it to the card with a Dimensional.  The sentiment is from Bloomin’ Love.  I thought it needed a little something more so I brushed Clear Wink of Stella on the small heart and added three Glitter Expoxy Shapes.  Here is a close up of the shapes:

I know they are hard to see even with the close up but they have a little glitter in them to add a little sparkle to your card.

Heart Happiness

Whenever I write a post for my blog I look up the name or the item number so I can put it at the bottom of the post in case anyone is interested in looking at it or buying it.  As I was doing this, I realized that the embossing folder I used is no longer available.  That is sad because it is a great embossing folder for Valentine’s Day and I decided to go ahead and post the card anyway.  Lots of people are looking for ideas that own this folder so I thought it would be ok to do.

I used some current product on this card too.  The heart is from a brand new stamp set that is in the 2018 Occasions Catalog called Heart Happiness.  I stamped it in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then used my Stampin’ Blends to color it in.  The colors I used are listed below.  Stampin’ Blends are alcohol markers so you need to use a water based ink such as the Memento Ink so it doesn’t smear when coloring.  After I was done I decided to add a little sparkle to the card and went over the flowers with my Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush. I know it is hard to see in the picture but it added just a subtle amount of glitter to it.

The banner and the sentiment are from a stamp set called Bloomin’ Love.  I used a die from the Large Numbers dies to cut it out.

Heart Happiness

I made this card using one of the new stamp sets from the 2018 Occasions Catalog called Heart Happiness.  This stamp set can be used with the Lots To Love Box Framelits Dies that are also in that catalog.  The great thing about these dies is they actually match two different stamp sets.  The other one is called Sure Do Love You.  I love it when Stampin’ Up! mixes and matches sets.  If you purchase both of the stamp sets and the matching dies you are eligible to receive free product.  See how easy that is?  Add some ink, cardstock, ribbon or other products and you could be eligible to get two free items.  There is no limit to how many products you can earn for free.

Here is another video showing you one of the products you could get for FREE with a qualifying order.  It is a stamp set called Heartfelt Blooms.  This is a different kind of stamp that Stampin’Up! is developing called DistINKtive.  It lays down ink at different opacities giving the finished image more depth.
