Oh Hello Meets Hearts A Flutter

The Hearts A Flutter Framelits do not have to be used for Valentine’s only.  This set can be used year round.  In this card I cut some Print Poetry Designer Series Paper with the banner framelit and then stamped Thanks So Much from the Oh Hello Stamp Set.  All these items can be found in the Spring Catalog.

I think it is time for another Club member contest.   The first two members who post a comment on this post AND another post between now and our March meeting will win a prize.

Hearts A Flutter Valentine

Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope you all have someone to call your Valentine. I am lucky enough to have four Valentines – my husband, Rob and my three sons. This is the Valentine I made for Rob (no peeking Rob).

It uses the Heats a Flutter Stamp Set and Framelits and can be purchased in a Bundle. Although it has hearts, it can also be used for so many other things because of the various banners. The bottom of the card was cut using the Large Scallop Edgelits and I then embossed it using the Simply Scored Borders Scoring Plate. It takes a little practice but once you figure it out, you can make beautifully embossed cards that match many of our Framelits and Edgelits.

Hearts A Flutter Valentine

This card uses the Hearts A Flutter Stamp Set and Matching Framelits (you can get them both in a bundle and save some money!) as well as Itty Bitty Banners and the matching Framelits for that set called Bitty Banners.  Then the bottom of the card was cut with the Large Scallop Edgelits and then embossed with Delicate Designs.

Valentine’s Day is coming soon but there is still time to order.  Click here before it is too late.

Masculine Birthday Card

I always have such a hard time coming up with a birthday card (or any card) for men.  If I were to be totally realistic, most men would prefer a store birthday card with a tractor or hot babe on it or maybe some funny joke but they aren’t going to get one of those from me.  Yes, I know, that was a sexist statement, but really, who is going to argue?  Rob, my husband, seems to really  like my cards so I guess he is the exception.  At least he seems to like my cards but maybe he is just being nice.  That could be why we have been married so long!

In any case, this card was made using the Hearts A Flutter Framelits to make the banners.  The happy birthday is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and is punched out with the Ticket Duo Builder Punch.  The background uses the Chevron Embossing Folder.

Another Sneak Peek

Here is another card I used with supplies from the Spring Occasions Mini.  The stamp set and matching Framelits are called Hearts A Flutter.  The background is made with a new Embossing Folder called Honeycomb and the ribbon is 3/8″ Striped Organdy Ribbon and comes in Melon Mambo (as shown), Old Olive and Marina Mist.  You are going to love the new catalog when it becomes available on January 3, 2013.  The design for this card is from the web site called Mojo Monday.  It is the first time I have actually participated in any kind of card sketch.
