Introducing the New 2015/2016 In Colors

In Colors, Bravo

One of the great things about being a Stampin’ Up! demo is you get to order some of the merchandise from the new catalog before it comes out.  I always order the new In Colors because I can’t wait to see them!  I got my box in the mail and couldn’t wait to open it up to see the new colors!

This year the In Colors are called (from the bottom up) Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder.  Don’t the names make you hungry?!?

Here is a picture of the front cover of the new catalog.  I can’t show you what is inside yet.  If you would like a copy, let me know.  I should be getting them in this week sometime.  They are free if you come pick one up.

The sentiment on this card is from the stamp set called Bravo.  I am happy to report that it is being carried over into the new catalog.  It is a great set for graduations and weddings!

An In Color Thanks

Fabulous Four, In Colors

I love the new Stampin’ Up! In Colors.  They are really rich looking and perfect for any season.  I actually made this card using some scraps I had lying around.  I just stamped the thanks from the stamp set called Fabulous Four in Tangelo Twist and then layered the bottom of the card using my In Color scraps.  The colors, in order from top to bottom are Lost Lagoon, Blackberry Bliss, Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey and Mossy Meadow.  Mossy Meadow, by the way, is going to be a great color to use from Christmas trees in case you are thinking that far ahead!

Happy Birthday Karen

Chevron Border Punch, Four You, Itty Bitty Accents

Today is my friend Karen’s birthday.  She hits a very big number today, although I won’t tell you what number that is.  I don’t think she would like that advertised on the internet!

Last week I showed you how to make a background using the Chevron Border Punch HERE.  You can also use this punch to make a lattice.  You punch the Chevron Border and then use the pieces that get punched out to make it look like a lattice.  It is very easy to do and looks great with some flowers on it.

I also used some of the new 2014/2015 In Colors that will be coming out on June 2nd.  The card base and the ribbon are Hello Honey.  The green background is Mossy Meadow and the orange flowers are Tangelo Twist.  The background behind the sentiment (from Four You) was made using a new Framelit from the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits.  This set of Framelits are in the new catalog but are available for purchase now.

Happy Birthday Karen!

In Color Sneak Peek

Stampin Up! will be introducing new In Colors in the new catalog that starts on June 1st.  The colors are amazing!  Usually it takes me a bit to like all of them but this year I love every one of them!  I made these bookmarks as a sneak peek for my club members.  I CASE’d the idea from Carole Parsons on SCS.  I used Papillon Potpourri for the small butterflies and punched them out using the Bitty Butterfly Punch.  The larger butterfly was punched out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch.  Aren’t they cute?

August 2012 Club Meeting

Last night we had our August Club meeting.  Although it was a small group we had a lot of fun.  The first card they made used Daydream Medallions and Floral Frames Framelits.  The colors were Crumbb Cake, Primrose Petals and So Saffron.  I love this color combination.

The next card I CASEd (Copy and Share Everything) from Joanne Do, a friend of mine who lives in Hawaii.  I never  even though of getting this set until I saw her card.  I did change mine just a little but the overall design is her’s.  It uses By The Seashore and Sweet Essentials stamp sets.  The colors are Always Artichoke, Whisper White, Riding Hood Red, Not Quite Navy and More Mustard.  We spondged the outside of the card using Crumb Cake.

Thanks Joanne!

The last card we made used the Perfectly Perserved stamp set and the Cannery Ser Framelits from the Holiday Mini.  We used the new Argyle Embossing Folder and the Small Oval Punch.  The colors are Real Red, Whisper White and Certainly Celery.  The jar is behind a window sheet.

July 2012 Club Projects

I had a great time playing with my merchandise from the new Stampin Up catalog.  This catalog is full of things I just have to own!

The first card we did use the new Chevron Embossing Folder, the new In Colors called Summer Starfruit and Midnight Muse and the Reason to Smile stamp set you can purchase in the month of July for $5 with a $50 order.  You can even choose the set in wood or clear mount.

The second card we made used the new Large Scalloped Edgelit and the Paper Piercing Pack.  The colors were Early Expresso and Tempting Turquoise.  We used the Tempting Turquose Embossing Powder with a stamp from Fabulous Florets.

The last card we made used the new Layered Labels stamp set with the Apothecary Accents Framelits.  I love all the Framelits.  They are so easy to just stamp and cut out.  The colors we used were Rose Red, Regal Rose and Whisper White.  We finished it off with the Scallop Trim Border Punch and then cut two flowers using the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and then added bling using the Rhinestones.

June 2012 Club Projects

The first card we made for our June Club used the new In Color called Midnight Muse.  It is a beautiful dark, rich color.  The stamp sets were Make A Cake and Itty Bitty Banners along with the new Bitty Banners Framelits. Love thses banners!

The next card we did used the new In Colors called Primrose Petals, Gumball Green and Raspberry Ripple.  We also used Daffodil Delight.  The stamp set is called Betsy’s BLossoms.  The ribbon is one of the new ribbons in the catalog in Gumball Green.

The last card we did we used the Summer Smooches Desginer Series Paper.  Then we made Pinwheels!  So simple yet so cute!

2012/2013 Sneak Peek

This is a sneak peek of some of the new In Colors and stamp sets.  It uses the stamp sets called Betsy’s Blossoms and Layered Labels.  If you look closely you can see new ribbon in Gumball Green!  I love this ribbon!  I used a couple of the new inks called Primrose Petals and Gumball Green.
