In The City

In The City is a Hostess Set in the Annual Catalog.  Actually, I should say it is an amazing Hostess Set in the Annual Catalog.  There are 60 stamps in this set!  That is a lot of stamps!  It is also a two step stamp set where you use two or more stamps to make an image.  For example the outline of a building is one stamp, the inside color is another and the roof is a third.  You put them all together to make one building.  I love it!

To make this card, I stamped all the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then stamped the inside colors using the various other stamps.  I used a ton of different ink colors which would be hard to list every single one.  I wanted it to be a colorful little town.  I stamped the sentiment (which is also a two step stamp) and then cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  The oval around the sentiment is from Layering Ovals Framelits and the ribbon is 3/8″ Mini Chevron Ribbon in Bermuda Bay.

Here are some more cards I made earlier using this stamp set.  Remember, it goes away May 31st because none of the Hostess Stamps ever carry over into the next catalog.  You can only buy this set with a qualifying order.

Here are some more cards I made earlier using this stamp set.  If you would like to see the details of these cards just click on the Select Category bar and search for In The City.  It will bring up all my past posts I made using this set.

In The City

In The City is a Stampin’ Up! Hostess Set.  That means you can only purchase it with a qualifying order.  It is one of my favorite Hostess Sets ever.  It is a two-step stamp set which means it takes two or more stamps to make an image.  In this case, each house or tree outline is one stamp and the inside colors are another stamp.  This set is Photopolymer so it is super easy to line things up.  This set has sixty (yes that is 60!!) stamps in it which is amazing.  There is so much you can do with it.

The colors I used for this card are Memento Black, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Bermuda Bay, Peekaboo Peach. Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder and Flirty Flamingo. That is a lot of colors but I wanted it to be bright and cheery.  It reminded me of being in Aruba where all the buildings are so colorful and planes fly overhead with messages.  Right now it is snowing a lot and the temperatures are only in the teens so I wish I was in Aruba right now!  It is only December so it is going to be a long winter!

By the way, I hand cut the banner in hopes that it looks like it is waving a bit in the wind.

In The City Again

I just love this new Hostess stamp set that is in the 2017/2018 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  I think it has to be my most favorite Hostess Set ever.  There are 60 stamps in the set.  Yes, I said 60!  That is an amazing number of stamps in one set.  The only problem is you can only get it with a qualifying personal, workshop or group order.  You don’t even have to have a workshop or party if you don’t want to.  You can just get a group of friends and place an order together.  I could set up a group order for you and give each of you a Hostess Code.  It is very easy to do.

This set is a two (and sometimes three) step stamp set.  You stamp the outside of the houses with one stamp and the insides with another.  That way you don’t have to use markers to color each stamp set the different colors.  They are really easy to line up because they are Photopolymer which means they are clear.

If you are interested is finding out more about a group order or if you want to get a bunch of friends together to stamp, just shoot me an email.  I can explain how it works.
