Incredible Like You

Today is my husband, Rob’s birthday.  He had to work today so we can’t spend the day together but we will celebrate tonight.  I won’t tell you how old he is but it is a big one.

This is not his birthday card.  He likes it better when I don’t share my cards I make for him so I made another birthday card to post this day.  This is an example of a card that a new stamper could make.  It only uses stamps, ink and cardstock and it is quick and easy but still cute.

I used the stamp set called Incredible Like You to make this card.  I stamped the sentiment first in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  Then I stamped the lines in Gorgeous Grape and Daffodil Delight Ink on either side of the sentiment.  I thought I needed a bit more so I stamped the little dots in Pool Party ink.  You could use sequins too.  I stamped the lines again in Daffodil Delight ink onto the card base and layered it all together.

Happy birthday, Rob.  You are an amazing person and I hope you have an amazing day!

Sale-a-bration Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets

I made these cards using the Grapefruit Grove & Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets that are in the 2019 Sale-a-bration Catalog.  You can get these gorgeous sheets free with a qualifying order during Sale-a-bration.  I know it is hard to tell from a photograph but these foil sheets are so beautiful.  The Grapefruit Grove sheets change color with the lights and the Lovely Lipstick sheets have a beautiful shine to them.

To make these cards I just layered a piece from the Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Specialty Paper that is in the 2018/2019 Annual Catalog over the Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheet.  This paper comes in big sheets but they have borders around each design so they are easy to cut out.  To adhere them to the Foil Sheets I used the Multipurpose Glue.  That is the best adhesive when it comes to any of our Foil Sheets.

To make the card on the left, I used a sentiment from the stamp set called Incredible Like You.  This set is in the 2019 Occasions Catalog.  I used the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack to cut out the flower and leaves.  The flower was punched out of the Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets.  The leaves were punched out of Silver Foil Sheets that I colored green using my Call Me Clover Stamping Blends.  I love those Blends because you can color so many things.

To make the card on the right I cut out the word Celebrate from the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies from Basic Black cardstock.  I punched out the butterfly using the Butterfly Duet Punch out of the Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets.

Don’t forget these beautiful Foil Sheets are only available during Sale-a-bration and are while supplies last.

Designer Series Paper Quick & Easy Cards Part V

This is the last card in my Quick & Easy card series where I show you how you can make beautiful cards quickly, using Designer Series Paper that are nice enough to send out to family and friends.  I think each card I have posted is a card I would be thrilled to receive in the mail.  Each one uses Designer Series Paper and takes less than five minutes to make.  If you would like to see the previous cards I have shown in this series you can click HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.

This card uses the stamp set called Incredible Like You.  I actually got this stamp set free at OnStage last November.  OnStage is a convention put on by Stampin’ Up! for all their Demonstrators to attend.  It is so much fun and you get a lot of free merchandise when you go.  Now is the best time to join Stampin’ Up! because it is Sale-a-bration time.  You can join for $99 and get $175 worth of product of your choice.  Usually you get $125 worth so this is an amazing deal.

I stamped the sentiment in Calypso Coral ink and the little flowers in Pool Party.  The Designer Series Paper is called Tropical Escape.  It is in the 2018/2019 Annual Catalog.  I cut it randomly at an angle and adhered a small strip of Calypso Coral cardstock to the bottom of it and trimmed it to fit with my Paper Snips.  Lastly, I attached it to a Whisper White card base.

This is the end of my series showing you how to make quick and easy cards under five minutes and use that Designer Series Paper that is sitting on your shelf. I hope you enjoyed the series.  Now you have no excuses to stop from finding the time to make pretty cards and using all the DSP!
