Biggest Wish

As you probably already know, Biggest Wish is my favorite Stampin’ Up!® sentiment stamp set. I just love large sentiments and these are super big. Plus they have two nice fonts that go well together.

To make this card I first cut 7/8″ strips of card stock in Night Of Navy, Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party and ran them through my Cut & Emboss Machine using the Checks & Dots Embossing Folders. I did two with the checks and two with the dots. I layered those on a 4″ x 5.25″ of Basic White cardstock and a Smoky Slate card base. I stamped the birthday sentiment in Pool Party ink and the happy in Pacific Point. Lastly I added the leaf in Smoky Slate. The leaf is from the die set called Intricate Leaves. It has a coordinating stamp set called Gorgeous Leaves (and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a bundle). Sadly, they are both retiring on January 3rd so if you like this bundle you will need to order it soon.

Stampin Up Gorgeous Leaves

A few weeks back Buffy, Jackie and I had a Stamp Off Challenge called the Colors Of Fall.  I had made three different Fall cards for that challenge.  The first two I posted here and here.  This is the third card I made for that challenge.

This time I used a set of Stampin’ Up!® dies called Intricate Leaves.  These dies coordinate with the stamp set called Gorgeous Leaves (and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a bundle).  The only stamping I did on this card was the sentiment.

To make this card, I first used the background die called Stitched Greenery.  I love this die because it makes a beautiful background of stitched leaves.  I used it with a piece of Gray Granite card stock.  I adhered that to a Cajun Craze card base.

After that, I cut out the leaves using the Intricate Leaves Dies in Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler and Cajun Craze card stock.  I fanned them out and adhered them using Multipurpose Glue.  I stamped the sentiment from the Many Messages stamp in Garden Green Ink.  This stamp is one big, huge stamp that has nineteen different sentiments on it and a few tiny shapes.  It has a coordinating die (yes one die) that cuts out all the sentiments at once.  When I first got this stamp set, I stamped a whole bunch of sentiments in different ink colors and cut them all out at once.  Now I have a little container full of sentiments for when I need them.  I popped that up on my card using a couple of Dimensionals.

Rob and I had our first Halloween in our new house.  We didn’t really know what to expect so I bought a bunch of candy and waited.  No one was knocking on our door.  I looked out the window and there were some children out there with parents but none of them were coming by our house (yes, I did have my lights on).  Finally, I looked across the street and the woman who lives there was outside sitting in a chair.  Apparently in this neighborhood (or maybe it is because of Covid), if you aren’t outside they won’t come to your door.   Rob and I sat outside after that but we only ended up with a few trick or treaters.  I think we missed most of them.  I had a lot of candy left so I put them in a bucket next to the front door with a note for the delivery people (USPS, UPS, FedEx or Amazon) to help themselves.  Most did but some were looking at their little handheld computers and didn’t see the bucket.  Next year, we will sit outside!

Stampin Up Gorgeous Leaves

This is another card I made for our Stamp Off Colors Of Fall Challenge.  I actually made three cards for this challenge so you will see another one soon.  This time I decided to go with the Gorgeous Leaves Bundle which includes the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set and the coordinating Intricate Leaves die set (if you buy these in a bundle you can save 10%).

For the Colors Of Fall I went with Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry.  You can’t really get more Fall-like than that.  Actually you could also add all the colors in the Regals family because most of them are very Fall-like.

To make this card I first stamped the various leaves in Crushed Curry ink and then used a Sponge Dauber to add some Cajun Craze ink to the edges.  I cut them out using the coordinating dies.  The stamp set Gorgeous Leaves also has a cute little stamp with the three leaves which I used to stamp a border on the edges of a piece of Basic White card stock and then Layered the cut leaves using Stampin’  Dimensionals.  The sentiment is from Artistically Inked.

I’ll show you the third card I made soon.

Stampin Up Gorgeous Leaves

Gorgeous Leaves are just that!  Gorgeous!  It is one of the new stamp sets that are in the Stampin’ Up!® 2021 July – August Mini Catalog.  It has a coordinating set of dies called Intricate Leaves which cut out the stamped leaves as well as some outline leaves.  The stamp set has leaves that are splattered as well as separate splatter stamps so you can add some fun background to your cards.

To make this card I first stamped the two leaves in Merry Merlot and Night Of Navy ink.  Then I cut out the Gold Foil Leaf.  I put some Merry Merlot splatters on a piece of Basic White card stock and layered the leaves on top.  I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set called Create With Friends in Night Of Navy ink and then stamped the word “you” in Versamark and heat embossed it using Gold Embossing Powder.
