A Washi Joy

Washi Tape, Wonderful Wreath Framelits

Here is another Christmas card that was really easy to make.  It uses the All Is Calm Designer Washi Tape that is in the Holiday Catalog.  I love Washi Tape because it adds so much color and is so easy to apply.

The other thing about this Christmas card is there is no stamping!  I didn’t even do that on purpose.  The “joy” and the stars were cut out of Brushed Silver Cardstock.  I used the Wonderful Wreath Framelits for Joy and the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack for the stars.  The oval behind Joy was cut out using the Ovals Collection Framelits.

You’re A Star!

Pictogram Punches

For a few years, I am have whining (just a little bit) that Stampin’ Up! didn’t have many star stamps, punches or Framelits.  They  used to have them but they retired a few years ago.  I think maybe they finally heard me (and many many others) whine loud enough that they brought a bunch of star products back!  There are Framelits, an embossing folder, a punch and star stamps galore!  Yay!  I love it!

This card using a stamp set called Pictogram Punches.  It has a lot of stamps that go with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.  The larger stars were cut out using the Star Framelits.  The Tangerine Tango strip in the background is actually Washi Tape!  Washi Tape is a great and easy way to add a little color to your cards.

Card For An Art Class

Kinda Eclectic

I was asked if I wanted to teach a class at the local Art Center.  A friend of mine, Amy, is on the Board of Directors and she hooked me up with the Executive Director of the Center.  It was a little intimidating but I had a great time.

The first card we made used the stamp set called Kinda Eclectic.  This is one of my favorite sets (today, as we all know that changes on a daily basis!).  I used Garden Green, Tangerine Tango, Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss to make this card.  The little flowers are from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and the butterfly was punched out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch.

A Simple Card Using Pictogram Punches

Pictogram Punches

I needed a young boy card so I thought the stamp set Pictogram Punches would be perfect for this.  The young man I made this for is an athlete so I thought he would like this set.  Of course, young boys don’t really care about cards too much but they do like what can be inside one.  I didn’t disappoint him.

One of the nice things about the stamp set called Pictogram Punches is that most of the stamps do match a punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.  This set has three punches ~ a star, a heart and a flower.  Of course, I used the star for this card.  The background of this card was made using a new Embossing Folder called Zig Zag and the ovals were cut out using the Ovals Collection Framelits.

Quick & Easy Card

Four YouSometimes you just need a quick and easy card to make because you forgot to send someone a card or something happened and you want to send one quickly.  This card is perfect for those times.

The new Stampin’ Up! catalog that just came out has a couple of new Heart Punches.  I love the new shape.  There is a large heart punch called Sweetheart and a smaller one that is part of the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.  I think the larger one’s name is perfect because it does look like a sweetheart shape.

The “hello” is from the stamp set called Four You.  The chevron background was made using the Chevron Embossing Folder.
