Mosiac Madness

Mosaic Madness

Mosaic Madness was the most popular stamp set that Stampin’ Up! sold last year.  It did not surprise me at all because 90% of my customers bought this set after using it.  It is a great set with 11 different mosaic stamps in all different sizes.  The best part is that it has a matching punch called Mosaic (of course!).  The punch makes it easier to line up the stamps and give it a more 3d kind of look.

The colors I used are Strawberry Slush, Sahara Sand and Whisper White.  I love the way these colors go together.  The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Banners and the matching Framelits called Bitty Banners.

Secret Garden – Another Favorite

DSC02090Secret Garden is another favorite stamp set of mine that is on the Stampin’ Up! Retirement List.  I love this set because it has matching Framelits (also called Secret Garden) to go with it so there is no “fussy” cutting (which I am horrible at).  You just stamp it and run it through the Big Shot with the matching Framelit and it comes out all cut out.  I love that!  Both items are retiring at the end of this catalog.

To make this card I stamped the flowers in Versamark and then embossed them using White Embossing Powder.  After I embossed them, I colored the middles with a marker and just wiped the in off the embossed part so the in just stayed in the dots in the middle.  I thought it made the flowers look like Black-Eyed Susans.

If you like this stamp set or set of matching Framelits make sure you order it before it goes away for good.

Card In A Box

DSC01901

DSC01951

I  have no idea who designed these, but the Card In A Box is very popular right now so I decided to teach my Club how to make them.  They look much more complicated then they really are.  I think the hardest part (or the most time consuming) is stamping and punching out all the flowers.  The rest is very easy.  The best part is it fits inside a regular Medium Envelope.

Here are some quick directions on how to make this Card In A Box.

Cut a piece of cardstock 5 1/2″ x 9″.  Score at 2 1/8″, 4 1/4″, 6 3/8″ and 8 1/2″.

DSC01952

Turn the paper and score at 2 3/4″.

DSC01953

Cut on all four score lines up to the score line going across and snip off the bottom half inch as shown in the picture.  Put a piece of Sticky Tape on the little end.

DSC01955

Fold at the vertical score lines.

DSC01956

Attach tab to the inside of the box so it can not be seen.  Fold down three of the sides, leaving one unfolded.  Your box should look like this.

DSC01957

Take a 2″ x 3 1/8″ piece of cardstock and score at 1/2″ and 2 5/8″.  Then cut the piece in half the long way so you can two pieces of scored cardstock that are 1″ x 3 1/8.

DSC01959

Fold scored lines as shown below.  Put a piece of Sticky Tape on each end.

DSC01961

Attach these pieces to the inside of the box so they look like this.  You don’t need to worry if they are not exactly straight because you won’t see them once they are decorated.

Then decorate your box as you wish.

Lovely As A Tree

Lovely As A Tree

Do you remember this set?  It is called Lovely As A Tree and is the oldest stamp set in the current catalog.  I don’t know when it first came out, but it has been current since I started stamping in 2006.  Shelli Gardner, Stampin Up’s Founder says if she has any say in the matter, Lovely As A Tree will always be around.

This is another card I made using a lot of different Framelits.  I used Bitty Banners, Window Frames and Circles Collection.  I think Framelits were the best invention within the stamping world.  If you look closely you will see that I pierced around the Window Framelit using the Festive Paper-Piercing Pack and the Paper Piercer.  There are a few different Piercing Packs, each one having three different templates.

This card features a the new stamp set called Mosaic Madness, the new Designer Series Paper called Quatrefancy and two of the new In Colors called Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush.

And….Guess what (I know.  It is not a proper sentence)!  You can order these today!  This is no longer a sneak peek.  It is product that you can purchase immediately!  Just click on my Shop Now button to purchase!

Quint Essential Flower Challenges

This next card I made is used to participate in two challenges.  The reason I did this was because I love the colors for the challenge of Create With Connie and Mary and at the same time I found a new challenge site that is just meant for my kind of style.  It is called Freshly Made Sketches and they love the fresh and clean style that is me!

Quint-Essential Flower

The stamp called Quint-Essential Flower is a single stamp you can purchase.  It comes in wood mount only and is in the Stampin Up Annual Catalog.  The thing I love about this stamp is that is goes with numerous Stampin Up Punches so you can punch it out in different colors and then layer them all.  The punches that can be used with this set are the 2 3/8″ Scaillop Circle, 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle, 1″ Circle, 3/4″ Circle and 1/2″ Circle.  In this card I used the Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper and of course, I had to use the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set and the Bitty Banners Framelits.  I don’t think I can do a card with my Big Shot (as I am sure you can tell!).

Hearts A Flutter Valentine

This card uses the Hearts A Flutter Stamp Set and Matching Framelits (you can get them both in a bundle and save some money!) as well as Itty Bitty Banners and the matching Framelits for that set called Bitty Banners.  Then the bottom of the card was cut with the Large Scallop Edgelits and then embossed with Delicate Designs.

Valentine’s Day is coming soon but there is still time to order.  Click here before it is too late.

I actually made this card months ago and never sent it or used it for my Club.  I got the idea from the Triple Layer Cards that are very popular right now.  I used the stamp set called Summer Silhouettes and the colors are Marina Mist, Night of navy and Gumball Green.  The For You stamp is from the set called Itty Bitty Banners and was cut out using the set of Framelits called Bitty Banners.

June 2012 Club Projects

The first card we made for our June Club used the new In Color called Midnight Muse.  It is a beautiful dark, rich color.  The stamp sets were Make A Cake and Itty Bitty Banners along with the new Bitty Banners Framelits. Love thses banners!

The next card we did used the new In Colors called Primrose Petals, Gumball Green and Raspberry Ripple.  We also used Daffodil Delight.  The stamp set is called Betsy’s BLossoms.  The ribbon is one of the new ribbons in the catalog in Gumball Green.

The last card we did we used the Summer Smooches Desginer Series Paper.  Then we made Pinwheels!  So simple yet so cute!
