A Stamp Off New Year

Stamp Off Logo Clean

It is hard to believe it is Friday again so soon.  I am not sure where all the time goes but it sure flies!  Friday is always my favorite day of the week because it is when Buffy, Jackie and I do our Stamp Off Challenges.

This week Buffy gave us a New Year’s theme challenge.

december-30

I actually had a hard time with this one.  I don’t really have any stamp sets that say Happy New Year but then I remembered that you can use other sayings to celebrate the holiday.

Hello You, Large Numbers, Balloon Adventures, Stampin Up, susanstamps.wordpress.com

The “happy” came from a set of Thinlits called Hello You and the numbers are a must have set of Framelits called Large Numbers.  Everyone needs that set because it can be used for so many occasions (graduations, anniversaries, birthdays, etc.).  The “let’s celebrate” and the banner are a stamp from a set that will be in the 2017 Occasions Catalog called Balloon Adventures.  It is such a fun set.  Of course, you have to have some sparkle on New Years so I used the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper.

Now let’s go check out what Buffy and Jackie did with this challenge.  I am sure their creations will be awesome, as usual!

Sunshine Wishes

Sunshine Wishes, Labeler Alphabet, Stampin Up

I don’t know how it goes from 75 degrees one day to 50 degrees the next.  Here I was enjoying this wonderful Fall weather where the days are in the 70’s and the nights are in the 50’s.  It is my favorite weather.  Then what happens?  I wake up one morning and it is 29 degrees outside.  Why ca’t the weather just cool off gradually?  It should slowly get colder.  Oh wait!  I know why!  It is because I live in Northern New York and things are just not done that way!  All I can say is “three more years”!

I made this card using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.  They are perfect for making a quick and easy card because they have a few shapes and some words so you basically have to just cut them out and stick them on the card.  I added the “Hello” using the Labeler Alphabet stamp set.  It is a great set because you can stamp any sentiment you want.  The Embossing Folder I used is called Petal Burst and is a new one in the Annual Catalog.

A Stamp Off Sketch Challenge

Stamp Off Logo Clean

It is Friday which means another Stamp Off Challenge with Jackie, Buffy and me!  This time we have a sketch challenge that Jackie designed.  Have you noticed how Jackie does most of the designing for our challenge?  Yep.  She is awesome that way.

Here is her challenge:

Here is my card:

Seaside Shore, Labeler Alphabet

I used the stamp set called Seaside Shore to make this card.  I just love those fish!  I think they are just adorable.  Crazy, I know!  Maybe it comes from my love of the ocean and the beach.   Those are my favorite places to be so the fish just go along with that theme.  The sentiment was made from the stamp set called Labeler Alphabet.  This set is great because you can make any words you want with it.  It is Photopolymer which means they are clear to help you position them.

Now, let’s go see what Buffy and Jackie made using this sketch challenge.  I am sure you will love both of them!

Totally Trees Sneak Peek

Totally Trees, Labeler Alphabet

Here is a card I made using a stamp set that will be in the 2016 Holiday Catalog.  This catalog will be available to order from beginning September 1st.  Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators are able to pre-order the products during the month of August.  It is one of those great perks you get when being a Demonstrator. If you would like more information, let me know!

The stamp set I used is called Totally Trees.  The second I saw the palm tree and coconuts I knew I had to own it.  It is a fun set that has all different trees with it.  All together there are 27 stamps in this set!

If you would like a copy of the 2016 Holiday Catalog just let me know.  You can pick one up for me for free if you live in the area.

The sentiment was made using the Labeler Alphabet stamp set.  This is another fun set that is in the Annual Catalog (and therefore available to order right away) that is like those old labeler guns where you have to turn the dial to the letter and press really hard to emboss it on the plastic tape.
