One Sheet Wonder

Hello everyone. It is time again for another BS & J Productions Challenge. This time our challenge is to use the technique called One Sheet Wonder. This is where you make a bunch of different cards using one sheet of Designer Series Paper. We all know how hard it is to cut that beautiful DSP so this is a great way for you to do it.

I cut mine a little differently than the original picture (but for some reason the original picture is not showing up on my blog this morning so I deleted it) but that is the great thing about Jackie and Buffy. It is ok to change things up a bit. This was the way I cut my DSP:

Here are my cards:

The Designer Series Paper I used is the 2018-2020 In Color 6″ x 6″ paper in Lovely Lipstick. The rest of the colors I used were also In Colors (Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover and Blueberry Bushel). Each of the cards use the stamp set called Bloom By Bloom. This set is in the 2019 Occasions Catalog. It has matching punches called Bitty Blossoms Punch Pack and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle. Bloom By Bloom doesn’t have any sentiments so I used some from various sets. They were Birthday Cheer, Life Is Grand, and Itty Bitty Birthdays. I cut the various flowers out using a variety of dies such as Stitched Shapes and Rectangle Stitched Dies.

Now let’s go see what beautiful creations Buffy and Jackie made. I am sure we will all be delighted!

Fable Friends

If you have been following my blog for a while you know that I am not a big cutesy stamp person. I do think those kinds of stamp sets are cute, they are just not what I buy. So what happens? The most amazing, beautiful, handsome and smart grandchildren come along. My wonderful daughter in law asked me to make Valentines for them and I look around and have very few cute, kid sets. All I had was retired dinosaurs and elephants. Well, I decided this just would not do. What will happen when they get a little older, come to visit and want to stamp with me? So, now I am buying some sets with them in mind.

Fable Friends is one of these sets. It is cute. The bunny is adorable. Even thought the squirrel is a , um, squirrel, it is also cute. Look at these ducks. They are so sweet!

To make this card I first stamped the ducks in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored them using my Granny Apple Green, Night Of Navy, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Balmy Blue and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends. The grass is from the stamp set called High Tide and the sentiment is from Life Is Grand, a stamp set in the 2019 Occasions Catalog. The Designer Series Paper is Gala Gingham.

A Flower Challenge

Good morning, everyone. Today our BD & J Productions Challenge is to make something with flowers. Of course, this has to be one of the easiest challenges we have. Stampin’ Up!® has so many flower stamps that it was hard to choose which one to use. I decided to go with an older set called Oh So Eclectic and mix it with some new products from the 2019 Occasions Catalog.

The colors I used for this card are Calypso Coral, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White.

To make this card I first cut out the background using the Florentine Thinlits Die and Whisper White cardstock. This die is in the 2019 Occasions Catalog. I adhered that to the card base of Calypso Coral. Then I stamped the greeting using the stamp set called Life Is Grand. This is also in the Occasions Catalog. I stamped the flowers in Calypso Coral Ink and colored them with my Dark and Light Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Up!® Blends. I stamped the leaves and cut the flowers and leaves out using the matching Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies.

Now, let’s go see what Buffy and Jackie made. I look forward to this every challenge day!

So Hoppy Together

This is the card I made for my friend and downline, Lynette for her birthday in February. I forgot to post it earlier which is why I am posting it now. If you look closely at the eyes on the dragonflies and the frog you will see I put some Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots on them. Lynette loves Googly eyes so I knew I could not just send this card without doing something for her.

The stamp set I used is in the Sale-a-bration Catalog. It is called So Hoppy Together and you can get it for free with a qualifying order. Stampin’ Up!® has done something different this year with some of their Sale-a-bration stamp sets. They have made matching dies and So Hoppy Together is one of those sets. The dies are called Hop Around Framelits Dies. I didn’t use the dies on this card because I made it before I knew the dies would be available.

The sentiment is from the stamp set called Life Is Grand. This set is in the 2019 Occasions Catalog. The colors I used for this card are Night Of Navy, Granny Apple Green and Lemon Lime Twist. The Designer Series Paper is called Gingham Gala and is also in the Occasions Catalog.

Life Is Grand Sneak Peek

Life Is Grand is a new stamp set that will be in the 2019 Occasions Catalog which begins January 3rd. I absolutely love this set and I am sure you can guess why. It has big fonts in a very elegant script. You know I love big fonts. The best thing about them is you can make a CAS (Clean and Simple) card so quickly and easily but it still looks great. The other great thing about this set is it is one of the new Cling Stamps. These red rubber stamps are better than ever! They come with an adhesive label that will cling like crazy to clear blocks or your Stamparatus!

This card is perfect for the beginner stamper. It only requires a few products and not a lot of stamping ‘experience. All I did was stamp the large sentiment in Mango Melody Ink and the smaller sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock. Then I just layered it with a piece of Designer Series Paper called Best Route and Mango Melody cardstock and a Pineapple Punch card base. Lastly, I added some of the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots in Pineapple Punch.
