Lift Me Up

Lift Me Up is a stamp set that is in the current Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog but will be retiring this year.  This stamp set has matching dies called Up & Away which will also be retiring.  This is a great stamp set that has 16 stamps in all.  It includes hot air balloons, clouds and a ton of very cute sentiments.  There are 15 dies in the set, one of which cuts out the amazing balloon and background pieces I used on this card.

To make this card, I first used a mask from Pattern Party Decorative Masks set.  This pack includes 4 different masks including the cloud one.  I used a Stamping Sponge with Balmy Blue Ink and then added a little Smoky Slate along the bottom of the clouds to give them a little depth. I then cut out the outline of the hot air balloon in Basic Black cardstock and the pieces used behind the outline in Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Balmy Blue, and Gorgeous Grape.

The sentiment is from the stamp set called Well Said and the matching dies called Well Written.   This stamp set and the dies will be in the new catalog but you won’t be able to save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle so if you like this set you will need to order it before June 4th.

Lift Me Up

The next couple of months are going to be a crazy time in my life.  I will be doing a lot of traveling and have a lot of events going on so I want to apologize if I have short but sweet posts.  It is going to be crazy but fun because I will get to spend a lot of time with my grandchildren and family which is my favorite thing to do.

I made this card using the stamp set called Lift Me Up.  This set is in the Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog.  The best part of this set is it has a set of matching dies called Up & Away Thinlits Dies.  This set has been around for a while so you don’t get a discount buying a Bundle but if you buy the stamp set, you have to have the dies.  Plus if you buy the stamps and dies, you will earn product from the Sale-a-bration Catalog for free!!

This is a pretty quick and easy card to make.  I first stamped the balloons in Night of Navy ink and cut them out using the matching dies.  Then I stamped the clouds and the sentiment and cut the entire rectangle out using the Rectangle Stitched Dies.  I am sure you can tell these are my favorite dies!  I layered this on top of a piece of Night of Navy cardstock and then added the Medium Baker’s Twine.  Lastly, I layered all of these pieces onto a Crumb Cake cardbase.

This is a perfect card to send to a friend to let them know you are thinking of them and wishing them well.

Don’t forget it is Sale-a-bration time! Earn FREE merchandise with a qualifying purchase.  Get an extra $25 in Hostess Benefits with a $250 single or group order! Join my Stampin Up! family and get a $175 worth of products for $99  or get the Carry & Craft Tote and $175 worth of products for $129!

Lift Me Up

I feel like this whole week has been Throwback Thursday.  I am using another “older” stamp set and dies from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  This stamp set is called Lift Me Up.  It also has matching Thinlits called Up & Away.  Hmmmm.  I wonder if I will do it the entire week.  I guess you will have to tune in tomorrow to see.  I may surprise you but I might not.

I also used this amazing Designer Series Paper on this card called Foil Frenzy.  It is bright colored foil designs on heavyweight kraft paper.  It adds great sparkle to every card.

Speaking of waving shiny things in front of my eyes (from a previous post) tomorrow is December 1st.  That means I will be able to pre-order items from the upcoming Occasions Catalog and the Sale-a-bration Catalog.  If you are a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator you get to order products before anyone else.  It is an awesome perk because I am not a patient person.  I see something new and fabulous I want it immediately.  It has been hard enough waiting a couple of weeks but I just couldn’t wait until January to get my hands on these new things.  If you are like me and don’t like to wait, you can join my team as a Demonstrator.  It is so easy to do.  For $99 you can get $125 worth of products with free shipping.  There is no obligation and you don’t need to buy another thing but once you see the new things coming out, I am sure you are going to want to.  Plus, if you are a Demo you can get a discount on all your purchases.  How awesome is that!  Just click on my “Join For $99” button (to the right of this post➜➜➜➜ ).

Lift Me Up

Have you ever been to a hot air balloon festival or had a ride in one?  I have not but I have seen them from a distance.  All the balloons in the air look amazing and beautiful.  Each one is different and they are all so colorful.  Personally, I would probably be scared to death to ride in one.  I am not really fond of heights although I don’t have Acrophobia (fear of heights).

The stamp set I used in this card is called Lift Me Up.  It was in the 2017 Occasions Catalog and was carried over  into the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  It has a set of matching Thinlit called Up & Away which make it so easy to cut out the balloons.

I used our new Embossing Paste and Pattern Party Decorative Masks to make the clouds.  I purposely didn’t try to smooth out the clouds because I wanted them to look a little fluffy.  Stampin’ Up!  Embossing past is amazing.  It is really easy to work with and dries fairly quickly so you don’t have to wait all day to continue making your project.  Stampin’ Up! even sells a set of three Palette Knives to help you spread the Embossing Paste evenly.

Lift Me Up

Lift Me Up is a stamp set that is in the 2017 Occasions Catalog.  Thankfully, it is going to be carried over into the 2017 Annual Catalog.  I am really happy about this.  It has a set of matching Thinlits called Up & Away.  If you purchase it prior to May 31st you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  Although, this deal will end on June 1st, you will still be able to purchase the stamp set and Thinlits separately.

The sentiment on this card is from the Birthday Bright stamp set.  Sadly, this set will be retiring and not be in the new Annual Catalog.  This set has been so popular with my customers.  I think just about everyone of them has purchased it.  It has some great big and bold stamps, as well as a few other designs.  Everyone really needs to own this set.  You will use it for years to come.

A Stamp Off Color Challenge

Stamp Off Logo Clean

It is time again for another Stamp Off Challenge.  This week we are doing a color challenge.  Here are the colors we needed to use.

Here is my card:

Lift Me Up, Up & Away, Stampin Up, susanstamps.wordpress.com

Lift Me Up was another one of those stamp sets that wasn’t originally on my list.  Then I started seeing beautiful cards made with this set.  My friend, Deborah did a couple of cards using this set and I knew I had to have it after seeing them.  Deborah is such an enabler!  She is a Canadian Demo who I met at a Stampin’ Up! function.  You should check out her blog.  She makes awesome cards!

Anyway, Lift Me Up has a matching set of Thinlits called Up & Away.  You can save 10% by purchasing them in a bundle.  You will definitely want both items.   The largest hot air balloon is a die but each of the colors behind the balloon are also dies so it is so easy to use different colors.  The stamp set has 16 stamps and the dies have 15.  Not only that, the Sale-a-bration catalog has matching designer Series Paper that you can get for FREE with a qualifying order!  If you buy the stamp set and dies in wood mount, you are qualified to get the paper!  If you buy clear mount you are less than $5 away from qualifying.

The sentiment is from the stamp set called Birthday Bright.  I think it has become my favorite birthday sentiment stamp set.  It has 21 stamps in the set.  Some are large (I love large sentiments) and some are smaller.  It is a great set to own.

Now, let’s go see what Buffy and Jackie have created with this color challenge.  I am sure you will be as pleasantly surprised as I will be!
