Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card

Sometimes you need a card but you just don’t have the time. This is where the Memories & More card packs come in. It comes with everything you need (but the adhesive) to make a quick and easy, yet beautiful card. The hardest part of making this card was deciding which cards to use.

To make this card, I used the Magnolia Lane Memories & More card pack. This pack contains 50 double sided cards in two sizes. Plus it has 6 single sided printed vellum specialty cards. Then it also includes four sheets of stickers. I flowers I used in the two corners are an example of these stickers.

Stampin’ Up!® also sells the Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More Cards & Envelopes. This pack includes Memories & More Cards, Kraft with white floral accents, printed envelope liners, and envelopes to make 20 cards.

Of course, all these products match the Memory Lane Suite.

Well, today is Rob’s last day of work. After 23 years working at The Bridge, it is time for a new chapter. I think he is a little sad but excited to move on. i have already told him he needs to find a hobby because he is going to have to find something to do when I am stamping. I offered to teach him but he declined. That is probably a good thing. I can just see him using my Pacific Point ink and then Daffodil Delight without cleaning the stamp first. Blends & Designer Series Paper

One of the things I love about the Stampin’ Blends is that you can use them to color images that you stamp. Every color comes with a light and dark pen so you can show depth in your images. Another thing I love about them is that you can color Designer Series Paper.

For example, I took my Real Red Light and Dark Stampin’ Blends and colored this Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper

and turned it into this:

It totally changes the look of the paper and was so simple to do. Then all I did was cut the words out using the Word Wishes dies with Whisper White Paper and adhered them to the Designer Series Paper. You can’t see it in the photo but I put a little Wink Of Stella on the words which make them sparkle just a bit.

You can purchase the Magnolia Designer Series Paper two different ways. They have the usual pack that contains two of six double sided designs for a total of 12 sheets or you can purchase the Designer Series Paper in bulk which contains 10 each of 2 double sided designs for a total of 12 sheets.

A Card from A Friend

I received this card in the mail from Buffy the other day. Buffy and I do ribbon shares when a new catalog comes out and she was sending me some ribbon she had purchased. Whenever Buffy sends me anything, she always include a card. Not just a card. She always sends a beautiful card! The fun thing about about this card is it is a fun fold card.

When you first begin to open it, it looks like this:

Isn’t that fun? That is why they call them fun fold cards!

Buffy used the Magnolia Lane Suite to make this card. I can’t really tell you the order she used but I can tell you about the products. The stamp set is called Good Morning Magnolia. This set has matching dies called Magnolia Memory and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle. The Suite also includes the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper. It is gorgeous paper (as you can see from her card). I love how she split it on the side and folded the edges back so you can see both sides of the paper. Then she added the gorgeous flower and leaves she cut out using the Magnolia Memory dies.

Another fun thing Buffy did with this card is to use the new Shimmer White Stampin Emboss Powder on the sentiment. This embossing powder has flecks of glitter in it so it sparkles and shines. I love it!

On the inside of the card, Buffy stamped the large Magnolia flower and a couple of the smaller ones and colored them using her Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow Blends.

Another great part of this whole surprise was she used a Post-It Note to write inside the card so I could peel it off and use the card again. It is a great way to recycle cards!

Good Morning Magnolia

There are so many beautiful products in the Stampin’ Up!® 2019/2020 Annual Catalog that I can’t decide which one I love best. One of the Suites that is on the top of my list is Magnolia Lane Suite. Everything in this Suite is gorgeous. The stamp set is called Good Morning Magnolia and the matching dies are Magnolia Memory (you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle). The Suite also has beautiful Designer Series Paper called Magnolia Lane, Memories & More cardiac, gorgeous ribbon and embellishments. One of the nice things Stampin’ Up!® is doing is Bundling all the products in all the Suites together so you can order it all at once with one item number. It can’t be any easier.

To make this card I first cut a 4.25″ x 5″ piece of the Magnolia Lane DSP using the edge die in the set. I then cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock using the same die and adhered both pieces onto a piece of Petal Pink cardstock. I stamped the flower in Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock and colored it using the Petal Pink and Granny Apple Green Dark and Light Stampin’ Blends. I adhered that on top of the Designer Series Paper using Dimensionals. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black Ink.
