Making Christmas Bright

Making Christmas Bright is a fun stamp set that is in the 2018 Holiday Catalog.  It has a matching punch called Christmas Bulb Builder Punch and you can save 10% by purchasing them both in a Bundle.  Plus there is another set in the Holiday Catalog called Making Everyday Bright (page 47) which also goes with the punch.  I love it when Stampin’ Up!® mixes and matches items that all go together.

The colors I used for this card are all the 2018/2020 In Colors.  They are Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover, Grapefruit Grove, Lovely Lipstick and Pineapple Punch.  These colors are fun and bright.  I hand drew the line between the bulbs using a Call Me Clover Stampin’ Write Marker.

Speaking of Christmas, if you would like to order something from Stampin’ Up! or if you want your better half to order something for you for Christmas you will need to do it by December 13th.  After that you might not get it in time.  So don’t forget to leave that Wish List where someone will see it before that date.  If anyone needs help ordering for you, feel free to have them contact me.

Making Christmas Bright

This is the last card we made at our monthly stamp club meeting inn October.  Before I showed them this card, I first showed them this:

Some of them had no clue what this thing was.  Those that knew kind of rolled their eyes but admitted they had one (somewhere but hadn’t taken it out in a while).  I rarely used mine because it was hard to get the paper in straight and turn the lever at the same time.  Well, now Stampin’ Up!®  has an embossing folder that does this!  It is called Corrugated Dynamic Textured Impressions and it is in the Holiday Catalog.  If you remember that contraption above, you need to get this embossing folder.

The stamp set we used on this card is also in the Holiday Catalog.  It is called Making Christmas Bright.  It has a matching punch called Christmas Bulb Builder and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle. There is also another stamp set in this catalog that fits the punch.  It is called Making Everyday Bright and is on Page 47.  Even though we did not use this stamp set, I have it listed below so you can look at it.

The colors we used on this card are Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover and Pineapple Punch.

Making Christmas Bright

Making Christmas Bright is a new stamp set that is in the 2018 Stampin’ Up!® Holiday Catalog.  It is a cute stamp set that has a matching punch called Christmas Bulb Builder Punch.  If you buy them both in a Bundle you can save 10%.  Plus, there is another stamp set in the Holiday Catalog that fits the punch.  It is called Making Every Day Bright and is on page 47.  If you buy the punch you have to have this set too.  It has penguins, bunny, balloons, feathers and more that can be cut out using the Christmas Bulb Builder punch too.

I used my Stamparatus to make the background of this card.  I put the bulb ribbon stamp on it and raised and lowered the plates to make the lines.  You could do this by hand but the Stamparatus makes it so much easier and has much more accurate spacing.  Then I colored all the little bulbs using my Stampin’  Write Makers in Blueberry Bliss, Call Me Clover, Grapefruit Grove and Pineapple Punch.  I cut the sentiment out with the Starburst Punch and layered it over a piece of Blueberry Bliss cardstock cut out using the Layering Circle Framelits Dies.  I hand cut out the banner.
