Lots Of Heart

Stampin Up Lots Of Heart

I hope everyone had a nice Valentine’s Day and that you could spend time with someone or something you love.  Rob and I are enjoying our time in Florida.  There is nothing like a little sunshine, sand and water to soothe your soul and relax you.

Here is another Valentine I made this year using the Lots Of Heart stamp set and the coordinating dies called Many Hearts.  This bundle is in the 2021 January – June Mini Catalog and you can save 10% by purchasing them together.   You know, you can always use hearts year round and not just for Valentine’s Day.  Hearts are great for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays or any other time you want to show someone you care.

When I designed this card, I found a piece of Well Suited Designer Series Paper that I had cut a piece out of.  I decided to cut off that section and was left with a odd shaped piece so I ended using the corner of it.  I adhered it to a piece of Basic Gray cardstock that was also a leftover and fit perfectly.

After that I stamped the heart in Cherry Cobbler ink using the plaid heart in the Lots Of Heart stamp set.  The best way to ink up and stamp this heart is to use your Stamparatus.  That way if the solid area does not come out totally covered in ink you can ink it up again and re-stamp it in the exact same place.  Then I cut it out using the coordinating heart die.  The Many Heart Dies include a die that cuts out the outline as well as the inside heart so I used that die three times.  I cut the plaid heart out and then two more out of Basic Gray cardstock.  I layered the outline of one around the plaid heart and the other to use by itself.

The sentiment if from the stamp set called Meant To Be which is in the 2020/2021 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog.

Stampin Up Lots Of Hearts

Every year my family has a tradition of sending Valentine cards to each other.  Ii send them to both of my sisters, my Mom, my children and my grandchildren.  I think it is a really nice tradition and I love getting those cards from them.  This year I decided to keep with my resolution to use my beautiful Stampin’ Up!® Designer Series Paper.  I had too keep is pretty simple since I had to make a lot of them!

I knew I wanted to use the Love You Always Specialty Designer Series Paper.  This paper is just gorgeous.  The colors are beautiful and soft and very shiny!  It pairs perfectly with the Love You Always Foil Sheets.  Both of these products are part of the Love You Always Suite that is in the 2021 January – June Catalog.

This card is what you call a CAS (Clean and Simple).  Designer Series Paper is great to use for this kind of card because it adds so much to it.  To make this card I first cut a piece of the Love You Always Specialty DSP in Rococo Rose.  I add a small strip of the Love You Always Foil Sheets and adhered it to a piece of Basic White cardstock that I had embossed using the Tasteful Textures Embossing Folder.  I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set called Meant To Be in Rococo Rose ink and cut it out using a heart die the Many Hearts Die set which is also in the Mini Catalog..  Then I cut out the outline heart in the Love You Always Foil sheets to put around the sentiment heart.  Simple but very pretty.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine’s Day.

Stampin Up Lots Of Heart

One of my favorite colors of all time is Seaside Spray.  It is an 2019/2021 In Color.  The bad news it is going to retire at the end of this Annual Catalog on May 3rd.  I plan on using it a lot in the next few months.  This is also a reminder to all of you, that if you like any of the InColors that are retiring this year, you need to purchase them as soon as possible because once the retirement list comes out, they sell out very quickly.  The other retiring InColors are Pretty Peacock (another favorite of mine), Rococo Rose, Purple Posy and Terracotta Tile.  If you bought any of those ink pads, then make sure you have a re-inker.

I like non-traditional colors when it comes to holidays.  If you recall, one of my Christmas cards this year was Rococo Rose and Rich Razzleberry.  Red and Green for Christmas is great but you can also use other colors.  I made this card for Valentine’s Day and, of course, Seaside Spray and Daffodil Delight are not your normal colors for Valentine’s but I love them anyway.

To make this card, I first cut out the Seaside Spray frame using the Stitched Rectangle Dies. Then I used a die from the Suit & Tie Dies and cut out the strips of Seaside Spray, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White that I used in the background.  I attached them to the Seaside Spray frame using Multipurpose Glue.  Here is a little trick to make them evenly spaced.  I used a 1/8″ scrap of cardstock that I had and placed it in-between each strip before gluing them down.   I layered all of that onto a piece of Basic White cardstock.  I stamped the two hearts from the Lots of Heart stamp set and cut them out using the coordinating dies called Many Hearts.  This bundle is in the 2021 January – June Mini Catalog and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  The little XOXOXO is also a die from this set.  I cut it out in Seaside Spray and then Daffodil Delight and pieced the X’s & O’s inside the Seaside Spray die cut.  I love that the O’s are really hearts.
