Merry Christmas To All

I forgot to show the third card we made at our monthly stamp club meeting in November.  We made it using products from the All Is Bright Suite in the 2018 Holiday Catalog.  The stamp set is called Merry Christmas To All.  It has a ton of different sentiments that all go with each other plus a label and some swishes.  Of course, they are matching dies called Merry Christmas Thinlits dies that have big sentiments (which you all know I love).

To make this I first cut out the “Merry” using the Thinlits from the Galvanized Metallic Paper and adhered it to an oval cut out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies in Whisper White cardstock.  Then I stamped the word Christmas onto Real Red cardstock with Versamark and embossed it using Stampin’ Emboss Powder in White and heating it with the Heat Tool.  The Merry Christmas Thinlits have a die that cut out the sentiment.  The Designer Series Paper is called Under The Mistletoe and is in the 2018/2019 Annual Catalog.  Lastly I cut out two sprigs using the Sprig Punch and adhered them underneath the sentiment.  The card base is Old Olive cardstock.

Peaceful Poinsettia

My name is Susan Horr and I am a Stampin’ Up!® Holiday Catalog addict.  There are so many beautiful stamp sets in this catalog that I knew I was in trouble the first time I saw it.  Normally I make a bunch of the same card to send out for Christmas but this year I may be sending different designs to different people.

The stamp set Peaceful Poinsettia was on my list the second I saw it.  It has beautiful matching dies called Detailed Poinsettia Thinlits and you an save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  The dies are gorgeous.  Not only do they cut out some of the stamp designs, they also have extra ones.  The font in this set is beautiful and very elegant.

To make this card I first stamped the long poinsettia die twice ~ once in Real Red and once in Shaded Spruce.  Then I cut them apart and colored them using my Stampin’   Blends in Real Red and Shaded Spruce too.  The sentiments on this card are from the stamp set called Merry Christmas to All.  This is a great for sentiments because many of the words are separate so you can say most anything.  They are Photopolymer so they are easy to line up.  The Designer Series Paper  Series Paper is called Under The Mistletoe.

Blizzard Thinlits Die Part Two

Last Thursday I showed you a card I made using the new Blizzard Thinlits Die that is in the 2018 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog.  Today I made a card using all those snowflakes that this die cut out.  Yes, one die cuts out all those snowflakes and more.  I didn’t even use them all on this card.

I decided to make this card with a little bling.  I haven’t used bling in a while.  You kind of have to do it when making Christmas cards because Christmas is so full of bling.  After adhering the snowflakes onto the cardstock I put a rhinestone in the middle of each one.

The sentiment is from the stamp set called Merry Christmas to All.  I first stamped it in Versamark and then used Silver Embossing Powder and heated it with my Heat Tool.  I then backed the piece of cardstock to Silver Foil Paper before adhering that to the Night Of Navy card base.

A Sketch Stamp Off Challenge

Hello everyone!  Today is another day for a BS & J Productions Stamp Off Challenge.  This week we have a sketch challenge.

Here is my card:

I decided to use new products from the 2018 Stampin’ Up!® Holiday Catalog.  There are actually three new products on this card.  The first is the Poinsettia.  This was made using the new Detailed Poinsettia Thinlits Dies.  I love how the flower is made up of two different dies.  One is the outline die which I cut out of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and the other is the detail on the Poinsettia which is in Whisper White.  Then I just adhered them on top of each other using Mulitpurpose Glue.

The sentiment is from the new stamp set called Merry Christmas To All.  This stamp set has matching dies which I just adore called Merry Christmas Thinlits Dies.  I didn’t use them on this card but if you buy the stamp set and the dies in a Bundle you can save 10%.  I stamped this greeting in Shaded Spruce.

Last but not least is the Designer Series Paper I used.  This is also in the Holiday Catalog and is called Festive Farmhouse.  It is full of different plaids and stripes.

Now let’s go see what Buffy and Jackie made.  I am sure we will love what they do!

Blizzard Thinlits Die

s

Now that I have all the birthdays taken care of for a little bit, it is time to concentrate on the amazing 2018 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog that began September 1st.  There are so many fabulous products in this catalog that it was hard to choose which ones to get first and then choose which one to show first.

I decided to go with the Blizzard Thinlits Die.  This die has a matching stamp set (usually I am talking about these Bundles the other way around – stamp set first, then die) called Beautiful Blizzard.  I did not use the stamp set on this card but I did use the die.  The Blizzard Thinlits Die is one big die that cuts out a background of snowflakes.  I used it on Night Of Navy cardstock and then adhered it to a Balmy Blue card base. The die looks like this:

The sentiments  are from another new Bundle that is in the Holiday Catalog.  The stamp set is called Merry Christmas To All and has all the words you could ever want for a Holiday Card.  The matching Dies are called Merry Christmas Thinlits Dies.  It has four large words you can cut out as well as two label dies.

After cutting out all those snowflakes with one die I bet you are wondering what I did with them all.  Tune in on Monday to find out!
