Last Friday was my grandson, Nolan’s fifth birthday. As a birthday surprise, his parents took him and his sister, Madelyn to Disney World. Rob and I decided to give each of them a Disney gift card to spend while they are there. I didn’t have a lot of time but I wanted to put the gift cards in something other than to just hand them to the kids so I made these two gift card holders for them.
The gift card holders were very easy to make using the Mini Pocket Envelope Dies. One die cuts out the entire envelope. All you need to do is glue one side and the bottom together. It is as easy as pie! I cut the first one out of Starry Sky card stock (Nolan’s favorite color) and the other one out of 2022-2024 InColor Glimmer Paper for Madelyn in Tahitian Tide (her favorite color). I made Mickey and Mini Mouse using retired punches in Basic Black card stock. I hand-cut the bow tie out and used a retired die to cut out the hair bow. Then I just had to add googly eyes because all kids love googly eyes! The “For You” is also a die from a retired set.
The nice thing about the Mini Pocket Envelope dies is you can give them alone or you can put them in a card. Both of them took me about ten minutes to make. Actually, it only took that long because I. had to search for the “For You” dies.
