A Groovy Kind of Love

Groovy Love

Every time I looked at this stamp set in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog, I started to sing the song Groovy Kind of Love.  Depending on your age, you listened to The Mindbenders or Phil Collins sing this song (unless, of course, you are too young to remember either of them).  Before anyone says a word, I did have to look up the name of the band that originally sang it in the the 60’s (The Mindbenders).  In any case, I had to have and I still sing the song whenever I get it out.

Another fun thing I did was this card is to use my Daffodil Delight Blendabilities to color the Rhinestones in the corner.  Blendabilities are perfect for this.  The color stays on, unlike our regular markers.  Now you can have Rhinestones in any of the colors the Blendabilities come in.  Cute, huh?

Oh My Goodies Birthday

Oh My Goodies

This card uses a couple of the new Stampin’ Up! 2014/2016 In Colors.  One is called Blackberry Bliss and the other is Hello Honey.  The Blackberry Bliss is really a beautiful dark purple and it goes great with the softness of the Hello Honey.

The Designer Series Paper I used on this card is called Moonlight.  It is a pack of 48 4.5 x 6.5 sheets which are perfect for card making.  They are double sided too so they would be perfect to use in your Project Life scrapbook pages.  The stamp set is a new one from the Annual Catalog called Oh My Goodies.  It coordinates with the Deco Labels Framelits.

The Open Sea Birthday Card

The Open Sea, Four YouThe Open Sea is a great stamp set to use when you need to make a masculine card – especially if the man is a sailor. To make it even better, Stampin’ Up! just came out with some new Designer Series called Moonlight that has some papers that look like water.  They go perfectly together.  Then, to make it even better (if that is possible) the Moonlight Designer Series Paper uses the new 2014/2016 In Colors.  I love Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey together.  They are even nicer in person!  The sentiment is from the stamp set called Four You which has four great sentiments to use for any occasion.

Goodbye Oh, Hello!

Oh HelloOh, Hello is another Stampin’ Up! stamp set that is going to retire at the end of this month.  The great thing about this set was it came out the same time as the Ovals Collections Framelits so they matched perfectly.  It was also one of the first sets that came out that had the chevron design that is so popular right now.  If you like this set you need to order it before June 1st when it will be gone forever.

I paired this stamp set with a sneak peek of Designer Series Paper called Moonlight that will be in the new catalog beginning June 2nd.  I really like this new paper because it uses the new 2014/2015 In Colors that are coming out.  The particular paper I used has Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey in it.  The ribbon is also a new In Color (Blackberry Bliss).  You are going to love the new ribbon.  It ties very easily and looks very rich.

Blended Bloom With Blendabilities

DSC02132I am having a lot of fun with the new products I was able to buy early from the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  As a demonstrator, Stampin’ Up! gives us a choice of a few of the products to purchase before the catalog goes live.   I used the new stamp called Blended Bloom on this card.  I colored the flower using the new alcohol based markers called Blendabilities.  I must admit it does take some practice to use these but after a while I got the hang of it.

The Designer Series Paper I used on this called is also a sneak peek item.  It is called Moonlight Designer Series Paper Pack and has some really cute designs in it.  There is something for every one.  If you are a vintage person, there are designs in it for you and if you are a clean and simple stamper, there are lots for you too.

The sentiment is from the stamp set called Really Good Greetings.  It is a set that was in last year’s catalog and is being carried forward to this one.  I use this set a lot as it has some great sayings.

Tea Party In Colors

Tea PartyEvery year Stampin’ Up! comes out with five new colors that are available for 2 years.  They are called In Colors and I made this card using the new 2014/2015 In Colors that will be in the new Annual Catalog that comes out on June 2nd.  The colors I used are called Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon and Blackberry Bliss.  The other two I didn’t use are called Mossy Meadow and Tangelo Twist.  The Honey Hello is a really nice gold yellow and pairs well with all the new In Coors.

The stamp set I used for this card is called Tea Party.  It reminds me of an old fashioned tea party.  The little flower in the corner is also a sneak peek of one of the new punches included in a three pack called Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (there is also a star and a heart in this set of punches).  Lastly, the banner is made from a new pack of Designer Series Paper called Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack that is also in the upcoming catalog.
