The Twelve Days Of Christmas – Day 9

DSC01397

Welcome to Day 9 of the Twelve Days Of Christmas series where I am showing you quick and easy Christmas cards to make so you have no excuses as to why you didn’t make any this year.

This is one of the simplest cards in the series.  It is a one layer card, although you could add a background layer to it if you so desired.  I used the stamp set called Evergreen.  It is a set that is not in any of the Stampin Up! catalogs but is still available for purchase.  I just tapped the stamp in the ink, stamped it in the middle and without inking it again, stamped it twice more on one side of the middle tree.  Then I inked the tree again, stamped it on a scrap piece of paper and then stamped it on the card stock twice.  It gives the card a little dimension when you do this.  The sentiment is from More Merry Messages.  Easy!

The Twelve Days Of Christmas – Day Two

DSC01394

Welcome to Day Two of the Twelve Days of Christmas Series.  The point of this series is to show you how easy it is to make your own Christmas Cards.  No more excuses about not having enough time.  You do have the time!

This card uses the stamp set called Evergreen.  It is not in any catalog but is still available for purchase.  You stamp the tree in Night of Navy and then stamp the outline of the tree in the silver Metallic Encore Ink Pad.  The greeting is from the set called More Merry Messages.  It is not in the catalog but is still available for purchase.  The next step is to take a piece of Brushed Silver card stock (3.25 x 4.75) and punch out one end using the Scallop Trim Border Punch.

Then you just put it all together!  Easy!

Festive Flurry With The Label Card Thinlits

Inside of Card

The last card we did at our Club meeting this week was this “Flip Flop” Christmas Card.  We used the new Thinlits called Label Card.  These dies are amazing because you no longer have to take the time to cut out and score the shape of the card as you did before.  You just pop it in the Big Shot with this Thinlit Die and it cuts and scores everything for you.  I love it!  You can get them in the Label Card shape or the Circle Card.  To watch the video on these products, click HERE.

The snowflake stamps came from the Holiday Catalog.  The set is called Festive Flurry and it has matching Framelits.  You can buy it in a Bundle and save 15%.  It has four different sized snowflakes and framelits.  We stamped the background of the card using Stampin Up Illuminate Pigment Ink.  It is a little hard to see in the photo but it adds a little shine to the card.  Then to add the real bling, we used the Silver Glimmer Paper.

Christmas Club Part 3 (and Last!)

I was saving the best for last.  This is one of my favorite cards we made at our Christmas Club meetings.  I love the stamp set Merry Minis and the matching punch set.  If you look back on our earlier posts you will see we used this set a total of three times.  Of course, I also had to use More Merry Messagse!

Merry Minis

You can’t tell very well by the picture but some of the ornaments are raised up by using Dimensionals.  This is another product that you can not do without.  Believe me, I have seen the ones that other stores sell and they are horrible compared to Stampin Up’s Dimensionals.  You get 300 in a pack that should last a very long time (except in my case since I use them so much!).

My Club Members are going to make a Christmas card to share at our next meeting.  I think it is time for another contest.  The first three Club Members who comment on this post AND bring a card to share at our December meeting will get a prize.  Last month we had one.  Hopefully we will get more this month.

Christmas Club Part 2

The second card we made at our last Christmas Club used the stamps sets called Tags Til Christmas for the ornament, Flowering Flourishes for the branch and More Merry Messages.  As you can probably tell after all these posts, I love More Merry Messages.  It has so many choices of stamps to use both on the inside and on the outside of cards.  Here is a picture of all the stamps included in this set:

The card we made uses Gumball Green and Raspberry Ripple.

Christmas Club Card Part 1

Last night we had our last meeting of the Christmas Card Club.  We met three times, making 12 cards each time for a total of 36 cards.  It was a great way to get your Christmas all done before Thanksgiving.

The first card we made was a CASE from Pinterest.  It uses the Daydream Medallions Stamp Set, More Merry Messages Stamp Set, the Bird Builder Punch for the cardinal and 1/4 Inch Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon in Real Red for the bow.  The cardinal is embossed with Petals-A-Plenty Embossing Folder.

Christmas Swaps

As I mentioned before I participated in a Holiday Swap with a group of very talented ladies. I showed you my swap HERE.

This is a swap I received from the very talented Diane Oliver.  Diane is from Michigan and makes really beautiful cards.  She used the Ornament Keepsakes Stamp Set.

This next swap is from Linda Wicks.  Linda used the Daydream Medallions Stamp Set and More Merry Messages.  I love how she made the bow from hearts and a circle from the Owl Punch.  Very cute and clever!

Quick & Easy Christmas Gift Bag

The last project our club did this month was to make this easy Christmas gift bag.

We made it using the Big Shot die called Fancy Favor Bigz XL.  You just pop in the card stock, roll it through the Big Shot and Voila!  You have a gift bag.  Of course, it wouldn’t be Christmas without adding some sparkle with Stampin Up Silver Glimmer Paper.  We finished it off with some Gumball Green 3/8″ Satin Stitch Ribbon.

Stamp-A-Stack Part Three

The last card we mad at our Christmas Card Class was CASE’d from jkcards.  Justin (I know!  Men like Stampin Up too! Can you believe that??) makes the most beautiful cards.  He is very talented.  His card is a little different then mine because he used different stamps but I still got the idea from him.  My card uses the Lovely As A Tree Stamp Set as the branches.  The ornaments are from Merry Minis and the Merry Mini Punch Pack.  The sentiment is from More Merry Messages which is in the annual catalog.  It has 10 different holiday sayings that can be used inside and outside your cards.

Stamp-A-Stack Part Two

This is the second card we made at the Christmas Club meeting.  As most of you know, I love my Big Shot and I almost always have a card that uses at least one product from the Big Shot collection.  I found this card on Pinterest and it uses multiple products so I had to CASE it!
