Another Stamp Off Color Challenge With Moroccan Nights.

Stamp Off Logo Clean

It is Friday once again and time for another Stamp Off Challenge.  This time we are doing a color challenge.  The colors we are supposed to  use are Night Of Navy, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake.

Moroccan Nights, Stampin Up

Now, the reason I said “supposed to use” is because I exchanged Night Of Navy for Dapper Denim.  I had my club meeting last week and I used Night of Navy and ran out of it.  Don’t ask me how that happened but it did so I had to substitute.  Here is my card:

Moroccan Nights, Stampin Up

When I first saw this stamp set called Moroccan Nights at OnStage last April, it was not one of my favorites.  I have grown to love those little lanterns and the medallion makes a perfect background.  I have used it a lot of make cards since then.

The sentiment is from a stamp set called Banners For You.  It has a matching set of Framelits called Bunch Of Banners and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.

Now, let’s go see what Jackie and Buffy made using these colors.

I have to say, the combination of Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point has now become one of my favorites.  For some reason I never put those two colors together in the past but you can be sure I will be using them in the future  A lot.  It is like they were made for each other!

The medallion on this card is from the stamp set called Moroccan Nights.  It is a really cute set that also has three different lanterns and a beautiful border stamp.  I actually got this stamp set at the Stampin’ Up! OnStage event I went to in April.  It was an “all attendee” giveaway which is awesome because, well we all got one!  You can get free stamp sets too by becoming a demonstrator and going to these events.  They are a lot of fun and excitement.  If you are interested, let me know.  I can explain how everything works!

A Sneak Peek of Moroccan Nights

Moroccan Nights

Moroccan Nights is a stamp set that I received when I went to Stampin’ Up! OnStage in Salt Lake City last month.  It seems like that happen so long ago!  Anyway, Shelli Gardner, the Co-Founder and Board President and her daughter, Sara Douglass picked a stamp set and showed how it could be used in a variety of styles.  This was the stamp set they used.  Shelli made a vintage card and Sara made a simpler one.  I made a card a couple of weeks ago using the lanterns from this set HERE.  This time I made a very simple card using the Medallion.  I used one of the new In Colors called Sweet Sugarplum.  This is one of those colors that had to grow on me but once I saw how it paired perfectly with Rich Razzleberry, I started to like it more.  That  happens to me a lot.  There was no way I would ever use Cucumber Crush until I paired it with Bermuda Bay and suddenly I started using it a lot.

The sentiment and banner are also two new items in the Annual Catalog that begins June 1st.  The stamp set is called Thoughtful Banners and the punch is called Duet Banners.  You will be able to save 10% by buying both in a Bundle.

A Stamp Off Color Challenge

Stamp Off Logo Clean

For our Stamp Off Challenge this week, Buffy gave us a color challenge to do.  Here are the colors she gave us.

May 6

I decided to use a stamp set that we received at Stampin’ Up! OnStage last month.  It is called Moroccan Nights and will be in the new 2016/s017 Annual Catalog.  Shell Gardner, the Co-Founder of Stampin’ Up! and her daughter, Sara Douglass, did a presentation of this set.  Shell is a vintage stamper and Sara is not.  They each picked a stamp set and had to make a card using it in their own style.  It was fun to watch and both of them did a great job.

Moroccan Nights

My card is totally different than Shelli’s or Sara’s but then again I have a totally different style that either of them so that is not much of a surprise.

Now come follow me over to Jackie’s and Buffy’s blogs to see what amazing creations they made.
