Nature’s Prints

Stampin Up Nature's Prints

Last weekend we had a great time when our friends from New York, Tom & Char came to visit us in Florida.  We have been friends for more than 35 years and we always have the best time together.  We went out for lunch a couple of times and of course, we had to go to the Tiki Bar!   It was so much fun. Char is also a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and we do a lot of stamping together when we are home.

Sun Prints is a suite in the 2022/2023 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  It includes the stamp set called Nature’s Prints, Natural Prints Dies, Sun Prints Designer Series Paper and the Fern 3D Embossing Folder.  You can purchase everything in the suite using one item number (158805) or you can order the items separately.  If you use the bundle item number or the suite item number you can save 10%.

To make this card I first ran a 4″ x 5.25″ piece of Basic White card stock through my Cut ‘N Emboss Machine using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder.  I adhered that to a Night Of Navy card base.  Next, I stamped the leaves in Night Of Navy and Old Olive ink and then cut them out using the coordinating dies.  Then I cut out the third set of leaves in Fresh Freesia card stock.  I added these to the card using Multipurpose Glue and Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink and cut it out using one of the dies from this bundle.  I added that to the card using Dimensionals too.  Lastly, I added some Classic Matte Dots that I colored using the Night Of Navy Dark Stampin’ Blends.  I love that the Blends can change the color of embellishments.

Stampin Up Natures Prints

This has got to be the weirdest summer weather-wise in a long time.  I know the rest of the country is having these awful heat waves but in Northern New York, it has been mid 60’s to mid 70’s and very, very windy.  Lake Ontario has been very rough all season with big waves and white caps every day.  I don’t really mind the cool weather but I could definitely do without the wind.

I made this card using products from the Sun Prints Suite that is in the 2022/2023 Annual Stampin’ Up! catalog.  This suite includes the stamp set called Nature’s Prints, Natural Prints Dies (and you can save 10% by purchasing them using the bundle item number), Sun Prints Designer Series Paper and the Fern 3D Embossing Folder.  You can order all those products together using one item number (158805) and it includes the 10% bundle discount.

To make this card I first ran a 2.75″ x 5.25″ piece of Gray Granite card stock through my Cut & Emboss Machine using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder.  Next, I cut a 1.5″ x 5.25″ piece of the Sun Prints DSP and adhered them together.  Then I wrapped a piece of 1/4″ Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon around the place where the two papers met.  I glued them to a Night Of Navy card base.

Next, I stamped and cut out all the pieces of the flowers and leaves using the Nature’s Prints stamp set and the Natural Prints Dies.  I also cut out the wreath using Basic White card stock and layered them onto the card.  I used Multipurpose Glue because I find that easier than using a tape runner when the pieces are smaller.  I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink and cut that out using a retired circle punch.  Next, I cut out the label in Mossy Meadow card stock and layered them together and adhered them to the card using Dimensionals.

Don’t forget it is Sale-a-bration time! It is the best time of year in the Stampin’ Up!® world. You get FREE products with a qualifying order and there are many to choose from. It is also the best time to join my Stampin’ Up! family. For $99 you can pick $125 worth of products from the Annual or Spring Catalogs. Plus you get the Making Plans Collection for free!  Your kit will come with all the business supplies you will need to get started and the shipping is free!

Stampin Up Nature's Prints

I am really loving the new Stampin’ Up!®  2022/2023 InColors.  They are just so pretty and go so well together.  I used Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky for this card with a little bit of Fresh Freesia (a 2021/2022 InColor).  I love how the look together.

I used a new suite in the new Annual Catalog called Sun Prints.  This suite includes the stamp set called Nature’s Prints, coordinating dies called Natural Prints, Sun Prints Designer Series Paper, and a new 3D embossing folder called Fern.  The stamp set is a DisINKtive set which means that each stamp creates different opacities in a single stamp which brings depth to the image.

First I stamped a couple of stems from the stamp set in Orchid Oasis and Green Freesia ink.  I cut these out using the coordinating dies.  One of the dies in the Natural Prints set cuts out a wreath.  I was originally going to use the wreath image on my card so I cut it out using Basic White card stock.  After I cut it out, I decided against using it as a wreath and instead cut it apart into different sections.  If you look at the card above you can see where there are leaves in Basic White.  These images were from the wreath.

Next I cut out another stem using Fresh Freesia card stock.  I stamped the sentiment in Starry Sky ink and layered it on the Starry Sky label that is included in the die set.

After cutting everything out I arranged all the pieces on top of a piece of Orchid Oasis backed by a piece of Starry Sky card stock and a Basic White card base. I used Dimensionals to attach the sentiment pieces.  Lastly I added some Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels (retired).
