Ten Years Of Growth Paper Pumpkin Kit

Ten Years Of Growth Paper Pumpkin

In case you didn’t know, Stampin’ Up!®  has a monthly subscription where you can receive products in the mail to make cards.  It is called Paper Pumpkin.  The kits usually are cards but occasionally they are 3D projects such as boxes or bags.  They include a stamp set and an ink spot along with all the things you need to make nice cards including adhesives.  These kits are for the beginner stamper or any person who likes to make quick and easy cards.  The March kit was called Ten Years Of Growth because it was the 10th anniversary of Paper Pumpkin kits.

Here are the three designs included in this kit.

Also included in all the kits are simple directions in color so you can see exactly what pieces go on which card and where to put them.

Paper Pumpkin

I have to say that this month’s Paper Pumpkin is beautiful!  I think it is one of my favorites.  What is Paper Pumpkin, you ask?  Paper Pumpkin is a monthly kit subscription from Stampin’ Up!®.  It usually includes card stock, envelopes, a small stamp set, one (or sometimes two) ink spots, embellishments, and adhesives.  Everything you need comes in the box so when you receive it, you are ready to make the projects.  It comes with an instruction sheet and a couple of extra ideas for the products.  Paper Pumpkin is for the beginner stamp but sometimes the projects are so beautiful that even the most advanced stampers will love it.

Here are this month’s cards, made as the directions stated (the first card is my favorite):

The card stock included with this kit was gorgeous.  You didn’t need to add much to it except a little embellishment and a sentiment (which is included in the kit).  If you would like to look into subscribing to Paper Pumpkin, click HERE (don’t forget to add me as your Demonstrator). You can subscribe through the website or you can add it to an order you are already placing.  You can unsubscribe at any time.

Stampin Up Paper Pumpkin

Before I begin my post about my projects, I wanted to talk about the plates of your Cut & Emboss Machine, Big Shot or whatever machine you have.  People are always asking how to keep your plates from warping.  A while ago I saw a video on YouTube where someone showed me the secret to this.  I am sorry I do not remember the name of the person who made the video but her method works.  First of all, always using the bottom plate on the bottom and the top plate on the top.  Do this until your bottom starts to flake or crack.  Also do not always cut in the middle of the plate.  Move your dies around sometimes using the top of the plate, the bottom or the middle.  The most important this is when you want to cut something, lay your plate on a flat surface and press on it with your finger.  If it pushes down when doing this, then flip it and use it the other way.   I am telling you this method works for me.  Here is a photo of my bottom plate.  As you can see, it is well used and still flat.

Now back to my regularly scheduled program!

Paper Pumpkin is a monthly kit from Stampin’ Up!®.  Usually it is a card kit but sometimes it is a 3D project.  March’s Paper Pumpkin kit was gorgeous.  It coordinates with the On The Horizon Suite which is also beautiful.  The kit includes everything you need to make six cards (2 each of 3 styles) including stamps, card stock, embellishments, ribbon and adhesives.  They also include coordinating envelopes.  The kits are geared towards a beginner stamper but a lot of experienced stampers like it too.

I made three cards as the kits explained and I am saving the rest of them to make different designs.

Paper Pumpkin & Madelyn

My granddaughter, Madelyn is four today!  Can you believe that?  I know everyone says time flies but really it does.  It just doesn’t seem that long ago that she was born.  If you want to skip the next few sentences, then feel free because it is grandmother talk about her granddaughter.  Madelyn is beautiful and brilliant.  She looks just like Rob and her Dad, Sam.  She is sweet, independent and loves to sing.  I have to think of new songs to teach her every time I go.  I sing them about 12 times and then she remembers and can sing them back.  Did I tell you she was brilliant?

This is the birthday card I made for her.  It uses the March 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit.  This kit was one of my favorites.  It comes with tons of numbers so you can make a card for anyone.  My mother turned 94 this year and I sent her one of these too.

Here is the inside of the card.

It has a surprise pop up inside.  There were two different designs with different colors and the kit made 8 cards.  If you like a surprise every month filled with stamps and paper, you will love Paper Pumpkin.  It is geared more towards the beginner stamper so if you have never stamped and would like to learn, these kits are a great way to do it.  You can click on one of the links below to find out more information.  You can sign up for one month at a time, 3, 6 or 12 months. You can skip a month when you want to and you can cancel anytime.

I don’t have any recent pictures of Madelyn today because I just got back from visiting her.  I’ll post some soon.

Happy birthday, Maddie!  I love you!

December’s Paper Pumpkin Kit

I just received the December Paper Pumpkin kit in the mail.  Whenever I receive one of them, I always have to open it immediately to check to see what is inside.  This is one of the fun things about these kits.  You never know what you are going to get.  Each kit comes with everything you need to make the project(s) except for adhesive, although they give you some of that too!  You also get an ink cube and this month we got one in Berry Burst.

This month the kit makes two different cards.  It has some laser cut outs, sparkle paper, ribbon and Baker’s Twine.  I usually put a couple of the cards as planned together and then I make make my own design using the rest of the pieces.  It is fun to do.

Below is a video showing you the kit and how to put it together.

If you haven’t tried a Paper Pumpkin kit you should.  There is no obligation and you can cancel at any time.

September Paper Pumpkin

Paper Pumpkin kits have really stepped up lately and I enjoy getting them in the mail  I try not to get any sneak peeks so I am surprised when I open the box.  That is hard sometimes because I live on the East Coast so people who live closer to Salt Lake City get their boxes pretty quickly and start posting.

September’s kit was really cute.  It had all kinds of leaves in different colors such as Cajun Craze, Gold Foil and Crushed Curry.

If you happen to get the kit and haven’t put it together yet below is a video showing you how.  Remember though, you don’t have to put it together exactly how they say.  You can use the pieces to make other designs too!

The October and November kits are going to coordinate with each other to make holiday cards and gifting projects.  You won’t want to miss these kits but you will have to order by October 10th!
