Yesterday was my granddaughter, Olivia’s third birthday. I know I say this all the time but I can not believe she is three already. I heard a saying the other day that said “Days go slow but years go fast”. That statement is so true! Sometimes when I am looking forward to something it seems to take forever for the day to arrive. Next thing I know that event was six months ago. I don’t understand it. Anyway, Olivia is the sweetest little girl. She is outgoing, happy and a little sassy. I wouldn’t want it any other way! I just wish she would stop growing up so quickly!
Plentiful Plants is a great stamp set that is in the 2022/2023 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog. It has a set of coordinating dies called Perfect Plants which cut out all the different stamps but has some extra included. The stamp set is a DisINKtive set which means each stamp creates different opacities in a single stamp which brings depth to the image. You can see this on the pots because there are shadows along one side.
To make this card I first stamped all the different leaf stamps in Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen ink. Then I cut them out using the appropriate dies. Next I stamped the two flower pots in Smoky Slate ink and cut them out. Then I cut out the “macrame” plant holder twice in Basic Gray card stock. I cut the top off of one of them and used it as a plant stand. The sentiment is from the stamp set called Forever Fern. As I am typing this I realized that I used retired Designer Series Paper for the background. Sorry about that!
Here is a photo of Olivia. It perfectly shows her adorable personality!
