Mojo Monday Perfectly Preserved

Here is this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch (#290)zMojo290Sketch

I stamp set I used for this card is called Perfectly Preserved.  In was in the Holiday Catalog but is still available for purchase until May 30th.  I am a little worried about this set and the matching Framelits retiring.  I sure hope it doesn’t but if you really want this set, you really need to buy it soon!

Perfectly Preserved Hearts

The Occasions Catalog has a little tiny set called Itty Bitties which I thought would go perfectly with the Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set.  It has little tiny hearts, butterflies, lady bugs and leaves.  All together is has 56 different stamps that could be used with many sets.  By the way, even though Perfectly Preserved was in the Holiday Catalog, you can still order it.

The hearts in this card come from a variety of stamps sets.  I used Itty Bitties for the littlest hearts and lips.  I used Tiny Tags for the larger stamped hearts with the swirl in them.  The outlined heart comes from Hearts A Flutter.  As you can see, Stampin Up has tons of choices when it comes to hearts.  Of course, I had to have them all.  What else is new!?!

Tutorial on My Valentine Pop Up Card

Yesterday I showed you the Valentine I made with the new Pop’N Cuts Big Shot Die.  Here is a picture of the inside of it.

To make this you need the Pop ‘N Cuts Card Base.  The first thing you need to do it take a piece of card stock (I used Real Red) 4.5″ x 11 and cut out the card base using the big shot die.  The die has two little lines showing where to score the card after cutting.  Take a pencil and mark this place on both sides and then score using your Simply Scored Scoring Tool.

Then take a piece of Designer Series Paper (4.5 x 11) and cut using the Pop ‘N Cuts Card Base.  I used Summer Smooches DSP.  Then score your DSP at 4″, 7″ and 8.5″.

Crease your DSP at the score marks.  The top score mark is a valley fold.  The second one is a mountain fold and the bottom one is a valley fold.

Place snail adhesive on the top section of the DSP and the bottom section.  Do not put adhesive in the two middle sections or your card will not pop up.

Attach your DSP to your Card Base.  Be careful to line it up exactly even.

World Card Making Day

Yesterday was World Card Making Day.  I did not have any events scheduled that day but I did spend some time making some cards.

I love the new Window Framelits because they go so well with so many stamp sets other than Friendship Preserves.  They also go well with the Autumn Accents Leaf Die and the Perfectly Preserved Stamp Set.  I CASE’d a couple of these cards from some wonderful demos on Stampin Connection.  It is a web site for demos only that is filled with wonderful ideas.  If anyone is interested in becoming a Stampin Up Demonstrator and would like more information, I would be happy to help.  Just give me a call.  It only costs $99 to join!
