For You With Candy Dots

Petite Petals, Flower Shop, Pictogram Punches

This card uses some retiring products and some products that are being carried over.  One of the stamp sets that is retiring that I will miss is called Pictogram Punches.  I used it for the little flower on this card.  There is a set of matching punches called Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack that is also retiring.  The biggest thing on this card I will miss are the Candy Dots.  They are perfect to add a little color to your card.

The good news is Flower Shop and Petite Petals, along with their matching punches are carrying forward into the new catalog.  I was surprised because they have been around for a while, but I believe they are still very popular.

Check out the Retirement List and order what you want before June 1st.  Once they are gone, they are gone forever!

You’re A Star

Pictogram Punches, Confetti Stars Border Punch

I made this simple graduation card for a friend of mine whose son graduated from Kindergarten a couple of weeks ago.  She told me he won a bunch of awards for all kinds of achievements!  It was a very impressive list so I thought I would make him a card to commemorate the occasion.  It didn’t take very long to make at all.  The sentiment is from Pictogram Punches and the stars were made using the Confetti Stars Border Punch.  I just backed the stars with different color cardstock to make it brighter.  Then I punched one star out using the star punch from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.

Madelyn is growing up way too fast.  She is already ten weeks old!

Pictogram Punches Birthday

Pictogram Punches

Today is my Daughter In Law, Tara’s birthday.  In case you didn’t know, she is the woman who produced my awesome granddaughter, Madelyn.  Tara is an amazing woman,  She is beautiful and very smart.  She is sweet and a little snappy (ha!).  Sam, my son, could not have chosen anyone better.  They are awesome parents too!

I used the stamp set called Pictogram Punches to make this card.  The flowers were punches out with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.  I did have to hand cut out the vases but it wasn’t too hard to do since the lines are straight.  You know how much I love fussy cutting!

Tara.  I hope you have the most wonderful birthday ever!

Pictogram Punches & Perpetual Calendar

Pictogram Punches, Perpetual Calendar

This is the second card we made at our monthly stamp club meeting.  It uses a few different stamp sets.  The flowers and the vase are from Pictogram Punches and the little flowers and leaves are from Perpetual Calendar.  Try saying Pictogram Punches and Perpetual Calendar three times fast!  I love the Perpetual Calendar stamp set.  Even if you didn’t buy the kit, the stamp set is a lot of fun.  It has a bunch of little shapes included in it which are perfect for backgrounds.  There are stars, hearts, starbursts, polka dots, butterflies, leaves and many others.  I love it to just add a little accent to cards.

You’re A Star!

Pictogram Pictures, Star Framelits

During Sale-A-Bration (January 6th – March 31st) you can get free product from the Sale-A-Bration catalog for every $50 you order.  If you order $100 you can get 2 free products and $150 would get you 3 items.  There is no limit to the numbers of items you can get free with a qualifying purchase.

If you purchased the merchandise I used to make this card, you would be eligible to get one free items from the Sale-a-bration catalog.  I used the Star Framelits ($26.95), Pictogram Punches Stamp Set ($21.95 Wood Mount) and Bermuda Bay Ink ($5.95).  The trick to making the stars look like they overlap is to cut a slice in one of them and then hide the slice underneath another star.  Magic!  Well, not really but if you didn’t know the secret you might wonder!

A Summer Silhouettes Celebration

Summer Silhouettes, And Many More, Pictogram Punches

I made this card for a friend of mine who lives in Florida.  She used to live up here in the frozen North but she is smarter than me and moved to warmer weather.  Of course, I laugh at her during the summer when it is beautiful up here and sweltering hot in Florida.  I guess there is no perfect place to live (except Hawaii maybe).  I was going to send her a card with snow and cold things on it but then I would have to listen to her tell me how wonderful the weather is down there!  Good thing we are good friends and can kid each other!

I cut the oval out using the Ovals Collection Framelits to give the card a “framed” look.  I thought it made it look kind tropical!

You’re A Star!

Pictogram Punches

For a few years, I am have whining (just a little bit) that Stampin’ Up! didn’t have many star stamps, punches or Framelits.  They  used to have them but they retired a few years ago.  I think maybe they finally heard me (and many many others) whine loud enough that they brought a bunch of star products back!  There are Framelits, an embossing folder, a punch and star stamps galore!  Yay!  I love it!

This card using a stamp set called Pictogram Punches.  It has a lot of stamps that go with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.  The larger stars were cut out using the Star Framelits.  The Tangerine Tango strip in the background is actually Washi Tape!  Washi Tape is a great and easy way to add a little color to your cards.

Pictogram Punches

The new Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog (starts August 28th!) is a dream come true if you love stars!  It has star stamps, a Confetti Stars Punch, and a Lucky Stars Embossing Folder.  For this card, I used the Confetti Stars Punch and the Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The stamp is from Pictogram Punches which also has some star stamps as well as the one I used.  It like star heaven!

If you don’t have a Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog, you can have one free if you come pick it up or just pay for the cost of postage and I will mail you one.

Groovy Birthday

Groovy Love

Here is a fun birthday card that used a lot of different stamp sets.  Once again, I am singing the song Groovy Kind of Love because I used the Groovy Love stamp set to make the larger balloons.  Now I can’t get that song out of my head.  The smaller balloons are from Pictogram Punches.  Both of these sets have matching punches (Sweetheart Punch and Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack).  I just drew the strings with a marker.

The sentiments are also from a bunch of different stamps sets.  They are Four You, Occasions 4 You, And Many More and a sneak peek of a Hostess Set that will be available in the Fall called Good Greetings.

Another Thank You Card

Another Thank You

Surprise!  This card is something different than a birthday card!  Sometimes you do need other card besides birthday cards.

In case you haven’t noticed I have been doing something different with my blog for about a month now.  Instead of linking the names of the products within my narrative, I have been including links with pictures at the bottom of my posts.  Have you noticed?  I thought it might be better for you to see the entire stamp set or other products that I use in my cards instead of just the names.  Then you like a product and want to order it, all you have to is click on the link and it will go directly to my store.  It makes everything so much easier!  So tell me, do you like the new way or did you even notice?  Ok, don’t really tell me you didn’t notice.  Just tell me if you like it!
