Pinwheels and Mojo Monday

This weeks challenge card from Mojo Monday was a little harder for me because it has a lot of stuff going on!  There are scallops, and circles, and brads, and ribbons and bows!  Oh My!  Now I know you don’t have to put everything in there but I like to get it at least close to the sketch.  Here is this week’s challenge:

At first, I had it all going but I just couldn’t bring myself to post my creation.  Finally I took off the bow and it seemed to work a lot better for me.

I made the pinwheel using the new Sizzlets Pinwheel S Die.  It makes it so much easier then cutting it out yourself.  It does take a little practice but if you follow my directions from THIS post, it is much easier.

Make a Pinwheel With Fat Fingers

I don’t know about any of you, but I could not make the Pinwheel using the new Sizzlet.  My fingers are just too fat or something.  I tried to figure out an easier way to make them so I got out my Paper Piercing Tool.  This worked great.  Just line up the middle hole on your pinwheel with the tip og your piercer and then bring each corner and put it on top.  Here are some pictures.

Put the center hole on the tip of the Piercer

June 2012 Club Projects

The first card we made for our June Club used the new In Color called Midnight Muse.  It is a beautiful dark, rich color.  The stamp sets were Make A Cake and Itty Bitty Banners along with the new Bitty Banners Framelits. Love thses banners!

The next card we did used the new In Colors called Primrose Petals, Gumball Green and Raspberry Ripple.  We also used Daffodil Delight.  The stamp set is called Betsy’s BLossoms.  The ribbon is one of the new ribbons in the catalog in Gumball Green.

The last card we did we used the Summer Smooches Desginer Series Paper.  Then we made Pinwheels!  So simple yet so cute!
