As most of you know, Stampin’ Up! releases their new Annual Catalog in May. It is always such an exciting time in the world of stamping. I love getting new products but I am also sad to see some things retire for good. Therefore, I am starting to use some of my older sets before they are gone. I don’t know what is going to retire and what is being carried over yet but I figure that if a set has been around for at least two years, there is a good chance they might be on the list. By the way, if you are a Demonstrator you will be able to see a copy of the new catalog online at the end of March. Then you can order a select group of new products in April. Customers can order from the new catalog in May.
Plentiful Plants has been around for a while so I chose this set to use. It has coordinating dies called Perfect Plants. The stamp set has a few different pots, leaves and some very nice sentiments. This is one bundle I really like and will miss if it retires.
I made this card by first stamping the different leaves in Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent inks. Then I cut them out using the coordinating dies. Next, I stamped the pot in Cajun Craze ink and cut that out. I layered everything on top of a circle from the Stylish Shapes die set that I embossed using the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder. Then I adhered it to a 3.5″ x 4.75″ piece of Basic White cardstock, a 4″ x 5.25″ piece of Evening Evergreen and a Basic White card base. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment (from Sending Smiles) in Versamark Ink on a piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock and embossed it using White Embossing Powder. I cut that out using a banner from Stylish Shapes.
