Pocket Full of Sunshine is one of the stamp sets that is being carried over into the 2018/2019 Annual Catalog that starts on June 1st.  It has a set of matching dies called Pocket.  If you purchase this in a Bundle before May 31st you can get 10% off.  After this date that discount goes away so if you like it, why not save a little money and purchase it by May 31st.

The fun thing about the Pocket Dies is the die actually scores a line about the pocket so it stands out on the card to make it 3D.  You just fold those score lines in and put adhesive around the outside.  That allows you to put things inside the pocket.  You can make a cute gift card that way.

To make this card I first stamped the pocket stamp in Dapper Demin onto Dapper Denim cardstock.  Then I cut it out using the Pocket Die.  I stamped the sunglasses in Cherry Cobbler and the sentiment in Daffodil Delight.  I cut the ends of the banner out by hand.  The Designer Series Paper I used is called Tutti-Fruitti.  It is in the 2018 Occasions Catalog and will be retiring on May 31st.

Pocketful Of Sunshine

Pocketful of Sunshine is one of those stamp sets that I would have normally passed over but something caught my eye.  I think it is a great set to use when giving someone a gift card or cash because it is fun and different.  I think it was the sunglasses that won me over.  Perhaps it is because I needed new sunglasses when we moved to the cottage because it is so bright and sunny there.  In any case, I love this set.  The best part is it has matching Framelits called Pocket Framelits Dies and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.

One of the dies in the Framelits set cuts out a 3D pocket where you can fold the edges to allow you to put a gift card or money inside.  It is super easy to do because the die does all the work.  It cuts and embosses the lines where you need to fold.  I also love the little tag you can put next to the pocket just like some jeans have.

I decided to use the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper because I thought it look like jeans from the 70’s.  I also put Wink of Stella on the glass lens to make them sparkle (I know it is hard to see in this picture).

A Stamp Off Die Challenge

It is, once again, Friday and time for another Stamp Off Challenge!  This time we have to use a Thinlit or Framelit on our cards.

One of the great thing about being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is you get to earn free product for various goals they give you.  In this case, I was able to earn the Pocket Full Of Sunshine Bundle for free!  How awesome is that??

This set is very cute.  The pocket has three sides that you fold under to give it a little depth and allow you to put things into it.  I decided to use the “you dazzle me” sentiment.  I know it is hard to see, but I put Rhinestones on the pocket and the sunglasses,
