Seascape is a fun stamp set that is in the Stampin’ Up!® 2021/2022 Annual Catalog.  It has coordinating dies called Sea Life and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  The stamp set has nine stamps that include some fish, seaweed, bubbles, sand and sentiments.  The die set has 4 large dies in it which include a very large gold fish, a very large seahorse, some seaweed and little fish.  I think it is just made to use bright, happy colors with.

To make this card, I first stamped the seaweed in Granny Apple Green ink.  Then I stamped the sand with Soft Suede ink onto a separate piece of Basic White card stock and actually used a die from the set called Majestic Mountain to cut it out. I didn’t want it go straight across so I used the top of the mountains to make it jagged.  I layered that on top of the seaweed piece.  Then I stamped the little fish in Fresh Freesia and the bubbles in Coastal Cabana ink.  I stamped the larger fish in Polished Pink ink and cut them out by hand.  It was fairly easy to do since the lines are mostly straight (just don’t look too closely).  I popped them up on the card stock using Dimensionals as well as the little Bermuda Bay fish.  Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black ink

Rob and I went to the Caribbean many moons ago where we snorkeled off one of the islands and saw fish just like this swimming by.  We were actually there to see a ship wreck but I was too scared to go there so I just looked at all the beautiful fish.  I think I have seen too many scary movies where ghosts come out of ship wrecks and preferred not to get too close.  I am a chicken.  I know.

Hello everyone!  It is time again for another BS & J Productions challenge with Jackie, Buffy and me.  This time our challenge was to make something using a technique.  I chose to make a card using a Heat Embossed Embossing Folders Technique I saw on Jennifer McGuire’s website.

The Heat Embossed Embossing Folder technique is a very simple but fun technique.  To do it you just put Versamark Ink on the debossed side of the embossing folder.  You want it on the debossed side so the background is what gets the ink on it and not the raised part.  Then you run it through your Cut & Embossing Machine.  I ran it through 3 or 4 times to make sure you get all the Versamark on the card stock.  Then you sprinkle clear embossing powder and set it with your Heat Tool.  By the way, I used a retired embossing folder for this but you could use any folder you have.  I love how the clear embossing powder darkened the Pool Party cardstock just enough to make it look different.

Next I cut out the Seahorse in Fresh Freesia card stock.  The die you use for this is from the set called Sea Life.  It has a coordinating stamp set called Seascapes and you can save 10% purchasing them together in a bundle.  This particular die does not totally cut out the Seahorse so you have to snip it in a few places to release it from the card stock.  I layered that on top of a piece of Basic White cardstock and a slightly larger piece of Fresh Freesia card stock.  Then I cut out the little fish using another die from this set.  The sentiment is from the stamp set called Artistically Inked.

Now, let’s go see what technique Buffy and Jackie used.  I am sure I will learning something new from these incredibly talented stampers.
