Secret Garden’s LImited Time

Secret Garden, Yippee-SkippeeThis is probably be the last post you will see by me showing Secret Garden.  It is retiring in a little more than a week (June 1st) and will not be available for purchase after that.  It really does make me sad because I love any stamp set with matching Framelits.  It means no fussy cutting!  You just stamp and run it through your Big Shot and voila!  It is cut out perfectly!  If you have been following my blog at all you might have noticed that there was not much cutting out.  There is a reason for this.  Take my word for it.

How good is your eye?  Did you see something on this card that might be new?  Yes you did!  It is the new Thick Baker’s Twine that will be in the new catalog.  It comes in all the 2013/2014 In Colors.  You are going to love it!  I used it in Coastal Cabana.

The sentiment I used is from Yippee- Skippee and the I cut the tag out using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.

If you love Secret Garden as much as I do, make sure you order it before it is gone for good!

Secret Garden – Another Favorite

DSC02090Secret Garden is another favorite stamp set of mine that is on the Stampin’ Up! Retirement List.  I love this set because it has matching Framelits (also called Secret Garden) to go with it so there is no “fussy” cutting (which I am horrible at).  You just stamp it and run it through the Big Shot with the matching Framelit and it comes out all cut out.  I love that!  Both items are retiring at the end of this catalog.

To make this card I stamped the flowers in Versamark and then embossed them using White Embossing Powder.  After I embossed them, I colored the middles with a marker and just wiped the in off the embossed part so the in just stayed in the dots in the middle.  I thought it made the flowers look like Black-Eyed Susans.

If you like this stamp set or set of matching Framelits make sure you order it before it goes away for good.

Secret Garden

Secret Garden

Dear Mother Nature.  Do you see the flowers in this card?  Would you mind skipping the mud season and cutting right to summer so we could see flowers like this in our gardens?  You made winter so unbearable that I think it is only fair if you did this for us.  I want flowers, blue skies and warm balmy breezes.  Thank you so much!

I don’t know if she will listen to me.  I have a feeling it will be a while longer before I get to see beautiful flowers such as these.  They are from the stamp set called Secret Garden and they have matching Framelits.  When you use bright colors such as these (Melon Mambo, Gumball Green & Pumpkin Pie) on Basic Black, it makes the colors pop out almost as if they are glow in the dark.  The sentiment is from Really Good Greetings.  Lastly I used the Essentials Paper Piercing Pack and the Paper-Piercing Tool to add a little something different to this card.

Now let’s just hope I wake up tomorrow and it is sunny and 70 degrees outside.  Wouldn’t that be nice!

Mosaic Secret Garden

DSC01931

I am starting to really like Very Vanilla and Coastal Cabana together!  Can you tell?  They just look so pretty together, although it is hard to tell from a photograph.  Try putting them together yourself.  You will love the softness these two colors create.

I embossed the background with the Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder leaving the bottom half un-embossed in order to put the sentiment there.  I used the stamp set called Secret Garden.  That set has matching Framelits also called Secret Garden.  It makes it so much easier when you don’t have to actually cut something out with scissors.  Framelits are the best invention!

Secret Garden Greetings

DSC01415

I made this card using the stamp set called Secret Garden.  It has matching Framelits also called Secret Garden .  They are still one of my favorite sets.  I love the flowers but I dislike cutting them out.  This is why the Framelits are such a wonderful thing.  No more “fussy” cutting.  You just stamp and run it through the Big Shot.  The happy birthday banner is from a hostess set called Banner Greetings.  You can only buy this set for $8 with a qualifying order of $150.  You can get to this amount with a single order or a total workshop order.  If interested, please contact me!

Chevron Border Bunch

DSC01309

One of the nicest things about Stampin Up! and Stampin Up! demonstrators is that they are so creative and love sharing that creativity.  Stampin Up’s logo says “Inspire. Create. Share”.  If you look on the internet at all, you will see thousands of blogs, each showing their artwork in order to inspire, create and share.

A fellow demonstrator, Lyssa Zwolanek, showed different ways to use the new Chevron Border Punch, other than the obvious way.  When I saw her post, I knew I had to try it so I made this card using her technique.  It reminds of me basket weaving.  You just punch out cardstock in the usual way but save the pieces and attach them back on the card using Snail Adhesive.  The stamp set I used is called Secret Garden and I can’t forget those Candy Dots, which are one of my favorite new embellishments from the catalog and come in all the regular colors.

Framelits Galore & Fab Friday

Secret Garden

Fab+Fri+Logos-021

I haven’t participated in the Fab Friday Challenge since before Convention so I figured it was about time I checked them out.  This week was a color challenge and I loved all the colors they picked.  The problem is that I got a little carried away with my Framelits in this card.  I used the Circles  Collection Framelits, Secret Garden Framelits and the Deco Label Framelits!  That is a lot of Framelits but I love them!  They are just so easy to use.  No more cutting out tedious shapes like flowers or leaves.  You just stamp and run it through the Big Shot.  It can’t get much easier than that.

The stamp for the sentiment is from the stamp set called Really Good Greetings.  I knew I had to have this set the second I saw it because of this exact stamp.  Whenever my boys leave after a visit we send each other this message by text so it has a lot of meaning for me.  It also has another stamp that says “Everything will be OK, even if we can’t see what OK is yet”.  I love that!

Secret Garden & A Sneak Peek

DSC01214

Can you see the sneak peek in this card?  It is a new Embossing Folder from the Holiday Catalog called Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions.  You will be able to order this beginning August 1st.  If you haven’t seen the Holiday Catalog, you are missing out on some great products.  If you live locally and would like to pick one up from me, just email me and let me know.  If you don’t live near me, I would be happy to send you a catalog for the cost of shipping.

This card also uses the stamp set called Secret Garden that has matching Framelits and a new set called Yippee-Skippee. Yippee Skippee has some cute modern sayings such as “carbs, schmarbs! Eat The Cake”  and my favorite “I Freakin’ Love You!”.   Of course, I  had to use my favorite accessory called Candy Dots.  The look like brads but they just stick on the card stock without having to punch a hole in your paper and they come in all the color families.

Happy Birthday Char

Happy Birthday Char!  I hope you have a wonderful day!

Washi Tape & Secret Garden

DSC00785

You already know about some Washi Tape that Stampin Up! has for sale that came with the Epic Day This and That Bundle.  In the new catalog, they are offering another set of this tape.  For this card, I combined both sets.  The  Basic Gray stripes is from the Epic Day collections and the Daffodil Delight is from the Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape collection.  The flowers are from Secret Garden Stamp Set with the matching Secret Garden Framelits.
