Stampin Up Sending Smiles

The Sending Smiles bundle is one of my favorite stamp sets in the 2022/2023 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog.  I think it was one of the sets we could pre-order and I definitely did.  When you are a Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator, you can order some of the products in the annual catalogs and most of the products in the mini catalogs a month before they become live.  I am a very impatient person so I love this perk.  Of course, my favorite perk is the discount I get but this one is a close second.  If you are interested in joining and want more info, feel free to contact me or click on the “Join Now” button to the right of this post.

This card was a fairly simple one to make.  I first stamped the stems and leaves at the top of a 4″ x 5.25″ piece of Basic White card stock in Parakeet Party ink.  Then I stamped the various flowers in Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis and Sweet Sorbet ink.  I stamped the center of the flowers in Daffodil Delight ink.  Next, I layered a .25″ x 4″ piece of Sweet Sorbet card stock below the flowers.  Then I layered this piece on top of a Sweet Sorbet card base.

After that I used the Sending dies that coordinate with the Sending Smiles stamp set (by the way, you can save 10% by purchasing the dies and stamps in a bundle).  I cut the word “Sending” in Basic White card stock and the background in Sweet Sorbet.  I layered the on top of each other.  Then I stamped the rest of the sentiment in Sweet Sorbet ink.

Stampin Up Sending Smiles

Last week I showed you the new InColors and promised to post one of the cards I made using them.   All of them are rich and bright colors. They are just beautiful and I love every single one.

I used a new bundle that is in the Stampin’ Up!® 2022/2023 Annual Catalog called Sending Smiles.  It has a set of coordinating dies called Sending Dies.  The stamp set has some bold flowers and stems along with a large word that says “Sending” and eight other sentiments that go with it.  For example, Sending Smiles Across The Miles or Sending A Note Of Thanks.  There is pretty much a sentiment for every occasion in this set.

To make this card I first embossed a piece of Basic White card stock using the Gingham Embossing Folder.  I adhered that to a piece of Tahitian Tide card stock and a Starry Sky card base.  I stamped the flowers using Sweet Sorbet and Orchid Oasis ink and cut them out using the coordinating dies.  I stamped the leaves in Parakeet Party ink and cut them out too.  The die set includes one die that cuts out the word “Sending” as well as a background to that die.  I cut the background out of Basic White card stock and the word in Starry Sky.  Lastly I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed it using White Embossing Powder.  Then I cut it out using a sentiment die included in the Sending Dies.

You will be able to purchase these beautiful InColors as wells and the Sending Smiles Bundle on May 3rd.  If you can’t wait you can join my Stampin’ Up!® team and purchase them in your Starter Kit.  I can’t give you the links to purchase these items until they go live on the 3rd.
