Rainbow Of Happiness

Stampin Up Rainbow Of Happiness

Rainbow Of Happiness is another stamp set that is in the 2022 January – June Mini Catalog.  It has coordinating dies called Brilliant Rainbow Dies and you can save 10% if you purchase them in a bundle.  In addition to this, Stampin’ Up!® is offering the Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper in the Sale-a-bration Catalog.  This means you can get the DSP for free with a $50 order.

This card was very easy to make.  It is a shaker card where the sequins are inside the card.  Shaker cards always were a bit tricky to make but Stampin’ Up!® showed me a much easier way to make them using Clear Envelopes during an OnStage meeting.  OnStage is a “convention” that Stampin’ Up!® puts on for all Demonstrators.  I always learn so much from them and love attending whether in person or virtually.  Unfortunately, most of them are virtual right now due to COVID but they are still fun.

To make this card, I first made the shaker part of it.  All I needed to do was put a bunch of Sequins For Everything into a Clear Envelope that I had cut down to fit the area I wanted it in.  Then you just seal it with Tear & Tape to keep the sequins inside. Next I used the large die from the set called Brilliant Rainbows and cut it out of a piece of Basic White card stock for the front of the card.  I also used it to cut out the colors in Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Pale Papaya and Flirty Flamingo card stock.  I stamped the sentiment in Pool Party ink.  I used temporary tape on the back of the white card front and stuck it to a Flirty Flamingo card base so I could easily line up the colors behind it.  Then I adhered each color in the same sized slot using Multipurpose glue.  When it was dry I could lift up the Basic White piece because I had used the temporary tape to stick it on.  I used tear & Tape to adhere the shaker part over the rainbow colors and then again to adhere the white card front on top.

Shaker cards are so much easier to make using the Clear Envelopes and I am sure the recipient will love the added surprise to it.

So Much Happy

Hello everyone!  Welcome to another Stamp Off Challenge with Jackie, Buffy and me.  This time our challenge is to make a shaker card.  I was really happy to see this challenge.  When Stampin’ Up!® had the virtual convention this year, Shannon West did a presentation showing how to make an easy shaker card using the Stampin’ Up!® Clear Medium Envelopes and I have wanted to make one.  Normally shaker cards take some time to do the shaker part but this was so easy!

Here is my card using the So Much Happy Bundle that is in the 2020/2021 Annual Catalog.  This view shows the card standing up.  The one below shows it laying down so you can see the Ice Cream Corner Sprinkles I used better.

Stampin Up So Much Happy

To make the shaker part all you do is take a Stampin’ Up!® Clear Envelope and put a piece of Designer Series Paper and your shaker parts inside it.  I used the True Love Designer Series Paper and the Ice Cream Corner Sprinkles that are both in the 2021 January – July Mini Catalog.  Then you just fold it to the size you need using Tear & Tape to keep it folded and sealed.  No messing with adhesive foam strips and acetate.  The envelope works great and is so easy!

The rest of the card did not take a lot of time either.  I cut a rectangle out of the center of a 5.25″ x 4″ piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock using the Stitched Rectangle Dies.   I cut the word “Happy” using the Happy Dies from the Annual Catalog and glued it to the back of the piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock so looked like this:

I attached that to the Clear Envelope also using Tear & Tape and then the envelope to a piece of Basic White cardstock.  I cut out the sentiment using the Banners Pick A Punch and cut out the stars using the Happy Dies.

Now, let’s go see what Buffy and Jackie made.  I have a feeling they will use the easier way to make shaker cards like me.  They were both watching the video.

Happy Birthday to my oldest youngest sister, Katherine.  I hope you have a day as awesome as you are!

Santa Shaker Card

Detailed Santa, Shaker Card, Hello You, Stampin Up, susanstamps.wordpress.com

I love shaker cards and they just happen to be all the rage right now.  They are not hard to make at all and I think it is so much fun to get a card in the mail, especially when it is something different such as a shaker card.

I used the set of Thinlits in the Holiday Catalog called Detailed Santa.  It is a set of four dies.  Two of them are border dies which are fun to use too (even though I didn’t use them on this card).  These dies have a matching stamp set called Greetings From Santa and you can save 10% by purchasing both in a Bundle.

Madelyn and her family came to see us this weekend.  Every time I see her, she amazes me how much she has grown and how much she has learned.  We decided to take her to the Mall to see Santa.  Madelyn wanted nothing to do with him and ran away as soon as he looked at her.  So Daddy had to sit with Santa in order for Madelyn to go anywhere near him.  She was still pretty skeptical about some crazy white bearded man in a red suit.  She has quite a look on her face!

Celebrate Today!

Celebrate Today

This card uses a new stamp set from the 2105 Occasions Catalog.  It is called Celebrate Today and comes in Photopolymer.   The great thing about this set is it also has matching Framelits called Balloon Framelit Dies.  You can save 15% by purchasing the stamp set and the Framelits as a Bundle (Item # 138869)!  The set has 25 stamps included with it.  It can be used for birthdays (of course!), graduation and babies.  To see the set in full go to the bottom of this post.

I made this card as a shaker card using the Stampin’ Up! Shaker Frames and Window Sheets.  The little stars inside the shaker frame are from the Confetti Stars Border Punch.  It was a fun card to make!

Don’t forget it is Sale-a-bration time!  For every $50 you spend, you can choose something FREE from the Sale-a-bration Catalog!!
