This is one of the cards we made at my monthly stamp class meeting in October. It uses the stamp set called Snow Front which is in the Stampin’ Up!® 2019 Holiday Catalog. It is a scene building stamp set much like the stamp set called Waterfront that is in the Annual Catalog. This time the stamp set more of a woodsy, winter scene than a waterfront scene.
The colors I used on this card are Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Seaside Spray and Real Red. To make this card I first stamped the log cabin in Crumb Cake Ink. Then I masked it off using a Post-It Note and stamped the trees on both sides of the cabin. Then I stamped the mountains, the path, the pond and the tree. I added the deer and the Cardinals last. The sentiment is from the stamp set called So Many Stars which is also in the Holiday Catalog.
Last weekend I went to Alabama to visit my son, Zachary, his wife Mary and my grand daughter, Emory. Emy is 2 1/2 going on 16. She is adorable yet sassy and definitely has a mind of her own. There is definitely a mix of her parent’s personalities in Emy but she is 100% her mom in looks.
Alabama was 95-97 degrees while we were there. Apparently it was like that all summer. I thought I was going to melt. After taking 30 hours to get home due to flight cancelations, we arrived to 50 degree weather here. That is almost a 50 degree drop in temperature. I need to find a place where the weather is somewhere in the middle!
