Last Day To Order Before Christmas

Today is the last day you can order from Stampin’ Up! and get your order before Christmas.  Is your husband or wife still looking for the perfect gift for you?  Leave your catalog by their morning coffee or tea with things circled in it and a note that says “Hurry!  Today is the last day” so you can get what you really want.  Which would you rather have ~ a tie or stamps? A frying pan or dies?  An ugly shirt or stamping supplies?

I made this card using a few products from the Holiday Catalog.   The Foil Snowflakes come in gold and silver or you can turn them over to be white.  You can even color the white side to make them any color you wish.  The snowflake is from the stamp set called Snowflake Sentiments and the ‘peace” stamp is from Christmas Quilt.  I added a Gold Faceted Gem to the center for a little sparkle.  Last but not least, the Designer Series Paper is called Year Of Cheer Specialty.  I am in love with the gold plaid, as you can tell.

Don’r forget to get that last order in before Christmas!

Snowflake Sentiments

Often times when I am talking to people about making their own Christmas cards I am told they just don’t have time to make them.  Here is a quick and easy card you can make in no time at all.  The best part is it uses scraps of leftover Designer Series Paper that I know you have hanging around!

The sentiment on this card is from the stamp set called Snowflake Sentiments.  It has some beautiful saying with lovely fonts.  The Designer Series Paper is from the 2017/2018 Annual Catalog and is called Be Merry.

Last week Rob and I went to Alabama to visit my grand daughter, Emory Jade.  They are calling her Emy Jade now, which I think is adorable.  Anyway, I can’t believe how big she has gotten since I saw her two months ago.  She is such a cutie.  Here is a picture of her with her Dad and my son, Zachary.  We were at a food truck show which was tons of fun. Too bad, Emy Jade is not old enough to eat the great food they had.

So now you have no excuse when it comes to making your own Christmas cards.  I am sure your family and friends will love them!

This is one of the projects we made at our monthly stamp club meeting.  It uses a bunch of new Stampin’ Up! products.  The first one is the new Mini Pizza Box.  These cute pizza boxes come in a package of eight and are pre-cut and pre-scored which makes them super easy to put together.  They hold 3″ x 3″ cards and envelopes or small gifts and cookies!

The Designer Series Paper we used is called Quilted Christmas and is a 6″ x 6″ stack of 48 sheets (12 double sided designs).  The sentiment is from Snowflake Sentiments.  The punch is also new and is called Everyday Label Punch.  Even the ribbon is new

Don’r forget tomorrow is the last day to sign up for A Season Of Style Paper Pumpkin Kits as well as the last day for the The World Card Making Day Sale!

A Sketch Stamp Off Challenge

This is the first week of our new schedule at BS & J Productions.  In case you missed it, we have decided to do our challenges every other week.  Sometimes life gets in the way of stamping, which is totally ridiculous if you ask me.  Nothing is more important than stamping, is it?  Well, maybe grandchildren are!

Today’s challenge is a sketch challenge.  I think maybe Jackie designed it but I usually get that wrong.

Here is my card:

Of course, I decided to take some liberties with the sketch.  It is what I do!.  I made this card using merchandise from the awesome 2017 Holiday Catalog.  The stamp set is called Snowflake Sentiments  This set has matching Thinlits called Swirly Snowflakes (although I didn’t use them) and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.

The gold snowflake behind the sentiment is also from the Holiday Catalog.  They are called Foil Snowflakes and they come in gold or silver.  The back of them is actually white so you can put some ink on them and make them any color you wish.  You could even stamp them in Versamark and put a little Copper Embossing Powder on them to make them copper.  That would be awesome!

Lastly, the Washi Tape I used is called Year Of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape.  It it is also in the Holiday Catalog.  I used three pieces of the tape on this card.  The top and bottom thin gold tape is one and the middle section is another.

Now, let’s go see what Jackie and Buffy made with this sketch.

Eastern Palace Christmas

I know most people celebrate a Christmas in July event but this July I just wasn’t ready for it.  Maybe it was because the weather up here was so nice and I spent more time enjoying the warmth then thinking about a winter holiday.

In any case, Stampin’ Up! sent me a copy of the upcoming 2017 Holiday Catalog a couple of weeks ago. As a Demonstrator, we get to see it early.  Let me tell you. It is amazing.  There are so many gorgeous holiday stamps in that catalog that you are going to have a hard time choosing which one you want.  If you are like me, you buy a bunch of them anyway.

One of the things I always look for are some holiday sentiment sets.  I love big fonts and I love elegant fonts.  This year, there are a few to choose from (yay!).  I used Snowflake Sentiments on this card.  Isn’t that font just gorgeous?!?

To make this card I used the Eastern Palace Suite.  This suite includes stamps, dies, Designer Series Paper, embellishments and these beautiful Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers.  Everything in this suite coordinates with each other.  Stampin’ Up! makes it so easy to do this.  The only problem you will have is deciding which suite to purchase!
