It is always hard for me to come up with masculine birthday cards. You would think I would be able to figure it out pretty quickly since I have three boys (men), but I still have a hard time. The stamp set called Amazing Birthday is one of those sets you can use for a masculine or feminine card. You just change the colors depending on the receiver. Black and red is perfect for a card for a man (versus pink and purple). I am not trying to be sexist but I do know if I gave one of my sons a pink and purple card, they might look at me cross eyed! Of course they look at me cross eyed a lot. Good thing I am starting to get more female members in the family! I am way out numbered!

Another Simple Valentine
Happy Valentines Day!
The one thing nice I have found about Valentines Day is you don’t necessarily have to have a sweetheart to have a Valentine (or many Valentines!). Ever since I have become a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator I started sending Valentines to a lot of different people. I send them to my mother and sisters. I send them to my three boys and one girl. I send them to a lot of people. Of course, I give one to Rob. I stopped sharing the cards I make for Rob because I thought maybe he felt I was just making him one to share on my blog. I can say, it was a beautiful one!
Celebrate Today
I just love these balloons in the stamp set called Celebrate Today. It has a matching set of Framelits called Balloon Framelits and you can save 15% by buying both in a bundle. These are some of the great new products in the 2015 Occasions Catalog. The Framelits have the balloon (of course) but it has has the pennants, a bow and ribbons in it.
The Designer Series Paper is called Stacked With Love and is also in the Occasions Catalog. This paper is black and white on one side and the other side uses the colors Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe and Real Red. It is great for Valentine’s Day too!

Simple Valentine
Sometimes simple is better. As you all know, I have three boys (grown men). If I made them a Valentine with lace, flowers and other stuff all over it, they would look at me cross eyed, say “thanks” and then throw it in the recycle bin (or garbage can). Of course, if I didn’t give them a Valentine, they would be unhappy because it is a tradition. I have given them Valentines practically since the day they were born. They might tell you, they really want the candy and gifts that go with the Valentines card but I know they really like the card the best (that is my story and I am sticking with it!).
To make this Valentine, I just punched out some hearts using the Sweetheart Punch from Designer Series Paper called Stacked With Love. This paper is black and white on one side and Calypso Coral, Real Red or Crisp Cantaloupe on other. The sentiment is from the stamp set called Sheltering Tree.

Leadership Bag Tags
Right now I am in Orlando, Florida at the Stampin’ Up! Leadership Conference. Every year (well almost every year) Stampin’ Up! gives all the attendees a bag of some kind. Imagine 3,000 demonstrators all carrying the same bag! I decided to make some bag tags for Buffy, Deborah and myself in order to help differentiate our bags from the other 3,000.
I used some old coasters I had and cut them to 2.25″ x 4″. Then I covered both sides of the coaster with a piece of Stacked With Love Designer Series Paper. I cut out the letters using the Little Letters Thinlits Dies. Then I added a button and a bow made of Baker’s Twine. I think they came out pretty cute!
