Making Christmas Bright

Making Christmas Bright is a new stamp set that is in the 2018 Stampin’ Up!® Holiday Catalog.  It is a cute stamp set that has a matching punch called Christmas Bulb Builder Punch.  If you buy them both in a Bundle you can save 10%.  Plus, there is another stamp set in the Holiday Catalog that fits the punch.  It is called Making Every Day Bright and is on page 47.  If you buy the punch you have to have this set too.  It has penguins, bunny, balloons, feathers and more that can be cut out using the Christmas Bulb Builder punch too.

I used my Stamparatus to make the background of this card.  I put the bulb ribbon stamp on it and raised and lowered the plates to make the lines.  You could do this by hand but the Stamparatus makes it so much easier and has much more accurate spacing.  Then I colored all the little bulbs using my Stampin’  Write Makers in Blueberry Bliss, Call Me Clover, Grapefruit Grove and Pineapple Punch.  I cut the sentiment out with the Starburst Punch and layered it over a piece of Blueberry Bliss cardstock cut out using the Layering Circle Framelits Dies.  I hand cut out the banner.

A Rooted In Nature Wreath

Here is a fun wreath that I made with the stamp set called Rooted In Nature and my Stamparatus.  The Stamparatus allows you to make a wreath quickly and easily because it lets you get exact placement of your stamps.  You just need to make a stencil to use in the Stamparatus.   I made this quick picture to show you how it is done (please note it is not to scale and certainly not perfect).

The colors I used for this card are Mossy Meadow, Merry Merlot (a gorgeous deep red color) and Whisper White.  The sentiment is from the stamp set called Itty Bitty Greetings.  It is a stamp set that everyone must own because it has a sentiment for every occasion.

Bubble Over

Bubble Over is a stamp set that was carried over into the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog from another catalog.  I am so glad it was.  It is just a fun set to have and use and it has matching dies called Bottles & Bubbles Framelits.

The fun part of this card is I used the Stamparatus to make it.  That is why the bottles  are perfectly lined up.  I can never it get perfect when I try to stamp with a block but the Stamparatus takes care of that.  You just figure out where you want to place the first bottle and then stamp it.  Here I used Bermuda Bay Ink.

Then you leave the stamp in the same place just move the plate down one notch and stamp it again in Lemon Lime Twist.

The third time I stamped I used Pacific Point Ink.

It is the most awesome tool ever and it is now available for anyone to order!

Guy Greetings & The Stamparatus

This is the third card we made in our monthly stamp club meeting a couple of weeks ago.  We used the retiring stamp set called Guy Greetings.  This set is a great set to make masculine cards.    I used the sentiment Happy Birthday but a lot of the ladies changed it into a Father’s Day card by just chaining the sentiments.  This set is great because it comes in Wood Mount, Clear Mount and Photopolymer so it can make  everyone happy!

I also introduced the Stamparatus to my club members with this card.  It allows you to stamp and image multiple times and have it line up perfect every time.  If you haven’t seen the Stamparatus at work you need to watch this video.

We stamped the sentiment and then cut it out using the Tailored Tag Punch.  Then we punched a blank one out of Tranquil Tide cardstock, cut it in half and then backed the sentiment with it.  Thankfully, this punch is going to be in the new catalog.

The colors I used on this card are Tranquil Tide and Night of Navy.  These colors match the Designer Series Paper we used called True Gentleman.  This paper was in the 2018 Occasions Catalog but has now sold out.

A Fruit Basket Wreath

This past weekend we moved into our cottage.  It was a beautiful but cool day and we were so happy to be here.  Emma, on the other hand was not very happy.  Last time we were here one of the smoke detectors was beeping and it freaked her out.  When we arrived on Saturday she would not get out of the car.  It is funny how dogs have this long term memory.  She loved the cottage last year but there was no way she was having anything to do with it this year.  We left her in the car with the doors open for at least an hour.  Finally Rob had to pull her out.  She was not a happy camper.  Rob and I, on the other hand were ecstatic to be here.  So, now you have to put up with my sunset pictures for a few months.  Here is the first sunset of the year.

Now you know why we love the cottage.  We get to look at this every night!

I made this “wreath” card using the stamp set Fruit Basket.  It is in the 2018 Occasions Catalog and it is not being carried over.  How sad.  It has matching mini punches called Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack.  You can save 10% by purchasing it in a Bundle until May 31st.  Then both items will be gone forever.

In order for me to make this card  I used my Stamparatus.  This tool is amazing.  You can do so much with it.  Basically you stamp the first strawberry and then turn the cardstock and stamp the next one.  You do this until there is a circle of strawberries.  Then I did the same thing with the pear.  The colors I used were Pear Pizzazz, Real Red, Crumb Cake (for the banner), Daffodil Delight (for the Pineapple) and Basic Black for the sentiment.

The Stamparatus will be in the new Annual Catalog that comes out on June 1st.  You definitely need to own this.  You will love it!

Jar Of Love Wreath

I had fun making wreaths one day a while ago.  I made another one last week using the stamp set called Beautiful Bouquet.  This time I decided to use the stamp set called Jar Of Love.  I “love” that little goldfish.  It always reminds me of going to the local Firemen’s Fair where you throw ping pong balls into a jar and you win a fish.  The last time we went to that fair my youngest son, Zachary, named his fish George (HW) Bush.  You can see how long ago that was!  They don’t even have these fairs anymore.  Normally these goldfish would die in a week or two but George Bush lived for a very long time!  It was sad when he did die.  We had a little funeral, flushed and George Bush swirled away.

The colors I used for this card are Pumpkin Pie, Flirty Flamingo, Tempting Turquoise, and Basic Black. The little HELLO stamp is from Beautiful Bouquet.

The Stamparatus & Celebrate You

I am sure you have heard of the Stamparatus by now.  It is the Stampin’ Up! new positioning tool that will be available for purchase in the new Annual Catalog that begins on June 1st.  Stampin’ Up! did make it available to reserve one early so a lot of us already have one.  It is an awesome tool that every stamper needs to have.

Here is a video showing you the basics on how the Stamparatus works:

To make this card I positioned a stamp where I wanted it to go onto the cardstock, inked it up and then stamped it.  Then I moved my card 180 degrees and did it again in the opposite corner.  I did this for each of the stamps on my card.

I di this with each stamp so both corners looked exactly the same.  When I was done stamping, I added the words Celebrate and you using the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies.  You can get these dies for free with a qualifying order during Sale-a-bration.

The cardstock color I used is Whisper White, Old Olive and Flirty Flamingo.  The ink colors are Old Olive, Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight.

During Sale-a-bration you can also get an extra $25 in Hostess Benefits with a $250 workshop (or order) or join my Stampin Up! family and get a $125 worth of product for $99 PLUS your choice of TWO FREE STAMP SETS (an added value of up to $101)!!

Amazing You

Amazing You is one of the stamp set in the 2018 Sale-a-bration Catalog that you can earn for free with a qualifying order.  Yes, I said free!  Everyone loves free!  The “YOU” is from a die set called Celebrate You and the Designer Series Paper is called Bubbles & Fizz.  Both of these items are also in the Sale-a-bration Catalog too!

I made this card using this stamp set in my Stamparatus.  In case you forgot what a Stamparatus is you can click HERE for a reminder.  If you watch the video in that link you can see how the plates of the Stamparatus move up and down so it was so easy to make this card.  I just stamped it once at the top and moved the plate down one notch and stamped it again.  Then I repeated that two more times.  Each time it stamped perfectly aligned and perfectly straight.  Have you ever tried to do that freehand?  I tried once and it ended up in the garbage.  In any case, it is too late to reserve your Stamparatus but it will be coming out in the 2018/2019 Annual Catalog in June.

The sprinkles this card are from the stamp set called Picture Perfect Birthday which is in the 2018 Occasions Catalog.
