Stampin Up Forever Fern

I needed a fairly quick and easy thank you card for a friend who did a kind thing for me. I didn’t have a lot of time (you know how the holiday season can be) but I wanted it to still be pretty and thank her. Even though I needed it to be simple, doesn’t mean that it doesn’t come from the heart. I love every card anyone has taken the time to send me, whether it is home made or purchased in a store, because they took the time to do something for me.

I used the stamp set called Forever Fern to make this card. I first stamped the berries in Blushing Bride ink on Very Vanilla cardstock. Then I stamped the leaves using Pear Pizzazz ink. Then I cut it out using a die from the Stitched Rectangles die set. After that I added the sentiment which is from the stamp set called Best Year. Both of these stamp sets and the Stitched Rectangle dies are in the Stampin’ Up!® 2020/2021 Annual Catalog. I adhered this piece to a slightly larger piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock. I thought it did look a little plain so I added another piece of Blushing Bridge cardstock that I cut out using the same die set.

This is a very simple card using the Stampin’ Up!® stamp set called Forever Fern. This stamp set has matching dies called Forever Flourishing and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle. It is one of my favorite stamp sets in the new Annual Catalog. It has five different branches of leaves plus a set of berries, a splatter and four sentiments included in it. There are 14 dies that cut out all the branches and berries plus it has a bunch of other dies that cut out fun leaves and designs.

Both the stamp set and the dies are part of a Suite called Forever Greenery. This suite also has Designer Series Paper called Forever Greenery that is gorgeous. On one side there are various leaf patterns and on the other side are other patterns such as the one I used on this card. The colors use almost all the greens we have in our inks so everything can match.

To make this card I first stamped the leaves and berries and then cut them out using the coordinating dies. I stamped the sentiment and cut that out using a die from Tasteful Labels. I layered all this on top of the piece of Forever Greenery DSP, a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock and a card base of Just Jade.
