Daisy Lane Wreath

Here is another card I made to thank people for my birthday presents.  It uses the Stitched All Around stamp set and matching dies called Stitched Labels again (if you didn’t see my previous card using this bundle, you can check it out here).  I also used the stamp set called Daisy Lane for the wreath made out of the flowers.

To make this card, I first used my wreath builder stencil and the flower from the stamp set called Daisy Lane.  I stamped it numerous times in a circle using Crushed Curry Ink.  Then I stamped the thank you sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink and cut it out using the coordinating die from Stitched Labels.  I backed this with a circle I punched out using the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch and Mossy Meadow cardstock and adhered it to the center of the flower wreath.

After that I masked off a stamp from Flourishing Phrases so that I would only ink up the words “so very much”.  A lot of people cut their stamps so they don’t have to mask them.  Honestly, this would give me hives.  It is so easy to mask off a section of a stamp using Washi Tape or something similar.  You just place the tape over the words you don’t want to use, ink the stamp, pull off the tape and stamp it onto a piece of paper.  Only the words that on ink will show.  Then I cut it out using the Classic Label Punch.

On a side note:  Happy Birthday, Peter.  We are looking forward to seeing you soon!!

Stitched All Around

Stitched All Around is a stamp set that is in the Stampin’ Up!®  2018/2019 Annual Catalog.  It has a set of matching dies called Stitched Labels and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  As a reminder any of the products are in the Annual and Occasions Catalogs that are in a Bundle will not have the 10% savings once these catalogs on June 3rd.  If they carry over, you will pay full price for them.  While I am at it, this is another reminder that if you like any of the 2017-2019 In Colors you should order them as soon as possible because once they are gone, they will be gone for good.

I love the Stitched All Around stamp set and Stitched Labels Dies.  There are ten dies in the set and they make cut out fun and unusual shapes.  To make this card I first stamped the sentiment in Pineapple Punch ink and cut it out using one of the dies.  Then I cut out the label behind it in Grapefruit Grove cardstock.  I ran a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock in the Big Shot using the Subtle Embossing Folder.  I know it is hard to see on my card and in the catalog so here is a close up photo.

This embossing folder adds a lot of subtle texture (hence, the name).

I thought the card still needed something else so I tied a bow using Nature’s Twine in Grapefruit Grove.

Beautiful Bouquet & Be Mine

Hearts aren’t just for Valentine’s Day and the Be Mine Stitched Framelits can be used all year round.  I know some of you have purchased these dies and put them in the back of the pile after February 14th.  You don’t have to!  Here is an example of a birthday, wedding or any special day card using a heart from this set.

To make this card, I first stamped the sentiment from the stamp set called Stitched All Around in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Then I cut it out using one fo the hearts from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies.  I lightly traced around the heart with a pencil on another piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set around the pencil mark.  The colors I used were Flirty Flamingo, Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, and Daffodil Delight.  I then added a few of the Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins to give the sentiment a little color.  I added some Foam Adhesive strips to the back of the piece of cardstock with the image on it and layered it onto the Whisper White card base.

Stitched All Around

Stitched All Around is a fun stamp set that is in the 2018/2019 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog.  It has a set of matching dies called Stitched Labels Framelits (yes, you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle).  The dies are beautiful.  There are six different labels that have cut outs and stitching around them.  My favorite is the one that cuts out the stamp that has “thank you” in it.  It also has a die that cuts out the background on my card.  I used it twice in each corner.

The colors I used for this card are Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape, Grapefruit Grove and Mango Melody.

Now I have some pictures to show you from when Madelyn and Nolan (and their parents of course) came for a visit.  Madelyn is now three years old.  I don’t know how that happened but she is adorable, brave, extremely smart and a little sassy.  Before you roll your eyes, just remember that I am a grandmother so I can say these things!  Nolan is the sweetest little boy ever.  He is eleven moths old and smiles most of the time (we don’t count the middle of the night part).

Last year Madelyn would not go anywhere near Rob’s tractor.  This year she was helping him drive it.  What a difference a year makes!

Tomorrow I will show you some more pictures of our visit.

Stitched All Around

Stitched All Around is a new stamp set that is in the 2018/2019 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  It has a set of matching Framelits called Stitched Labels and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  The stamp set is has some cute sentiments but the dies is what drew me to this suite in the first place.

There are ten dies in this set.  They are mostly label dies which make them perfect for sentiments but there are a few other dies in the set that really add to it.  If you look at my card you can see the pattern that one of the dies makes.  It doesn’t cut out a shape.  It just pierces the cardstock to make this cute X pattern.  Plus it has two straight dies that add piercings to your cardstock.  One makes x’s and the other makes dots.  You are going to love this set of Framelits!

On a side note, here is a picture of Emory Jade.  She is growing up so fast and is already 16 months old!  She is the cutest and sassiest little southern girl.  Just look at those eyes!  She looks just like her Mama.

Sea Of Textures

Sea Of Textures is the newest ocean theme stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  Ocean themes are one of my favorites.  I grew up swimming in the ocean and when we go on vacation we usually go somewhere near a beach.  I love on Lake Ontario now but I will always love salt water over fresh water to swim in. The waves are so much fun.  Some people don’t like the ocean because of the critters that are in it.  Believe me.  There are some scary critters in fresh water too!  I just keep telling myself they are more afraid of me than I am of them.  Of course, that is not really true because I am scared to death of snakes and eels!

In any case, I made this card using Sea of Textures and the matching dies called Under The Sea.  I love all the curls of that octopus’ legs.  The sentiment is from the stamp set called Stitched All Around.  The colors I used on this card are Coastal Cabana, Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lime Twist and Crumb Cake.

Stitched All Around

I have to say I am just loving all the new Stampin’ Up! colors and stamp sets that are in the 2018/2019 Annual Catalog.  It just seems like they all go so well together.

This card using a new stamp set called Stitched All Around.  It has a set of matching dies called Stitched Labels (and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle).  The stamp set is fun and has some wonderful sentiments but the Framelits are really different and steal the show.  There are two dies that cut out a straight line.  One makes the little x’s on my card and the other cuts out little dots that look like you used a paper piercer but is so much easier.  Then there is a background die that makes a pattern.  The other seven dies in the set cut out the sentiments and all of them have stitching on them.  I think the one I used for the circle on this card is my favorite.

The colors I used on this card are Blackberry Bliss, Mint Macron, Whisper White and Grapefruit Grove (for the little heart).  I embossed the piece of Mint Macaron cardstock using the Basket Weave Embossing Folder.  This embossing folder is a 3D Dynamic Textured Impression Folder.  It embosses a deeper pattern into the cardstock.  It is thicker so you don’t use a bottom plate with your Big Shot.

The twine I used is from Nature’s Twine.  It is thicker than regular Baker’s twine and has a little waxy feeling to it.  It comes in four colors (Blackberry Bliss, Mint Macaron, Grapefruit Grove and Crumb Cake).
