Stampin Up Sweet Strawberry

There are so many great stamp sets in the Stampin’ Up!® 2021/2022 Annual Catalog.  I forget about them sometimes whenever a new catalog comes out because I love using the new products.  I have to remind myself to use the older, but just as wonderful products in the Annual Catalog too.

One of the bundles I love is Sweet Strawberry.  This bundle includes the stamp set of the same name and the Strawberry Builder Punch.  If you purchase them in a bundle you can save 10%.  The punch cuts out the strawberries as well as the flowers, stem and leaf in the stamp set.  I love dies but punches can be a whole lot easier sometimes.

To make this card I first stamped the three strawberries in Poppy Parade ink and punched them out.  Then I stamped three stems in Granny Apple Green Ink and also punched them out.  Next I stamped the background in Granny Apple Green Ink and layered the strawberries on top.

I used a set of dies that are in the 2022 January – June Mini Catalog called Amazing Thanks.  These dies are so much fun because they cut out four words (you, are amazing, thanks) AND they just o\cut the background or shadow of the words.  In this case, I cut out the word, thanks in Basic White card stock and the shadow in Poppy Parade.

Lastly I colored some Elegant Faceted Gems using my Dark Poppy Parade Blends and scattered them on the card.

This week my granddaughter, Emory Jade (Emy) had a birthday!  I know everyone says this but I just can not believe how quickly children grow up.  Emy is five going on 16.  She is sweet and sassy and just full of energy.  Happy birthday, Emy.

Stampin Up Sweet Strawberry

After a long hiatus, the Stampin’ Up!® Sweet Strawberry Bundle is back in stock.  It was so popular, it sold out quickly and due to COVID, it was unorderable for a long time.  I am so excited it is finally back because I love this bundle. The Sweet Strawberry Bundle includes the stamp set of the same name and the Strawberry Builder Punch.  If you purchase both in the bundle, you can save 10%!

The stamps in this set are two step stamps which means it takes two or more stamps to make one image.  The strawberries actually take three stamps – the outline, the inside and the little strawberry dots (or whatever they are called).  I did not use the outline stamp on my strawberries on this card.  I first stamped the strawberries in Poppy Parade ink and then stamped the dots in Soft Suede. Then I punched them out using the Strawberry Builder Punch.  I stamped the leaves in Granny Apple Green ink and the flowers in Fresh Freesia and punched them out using the same punch.  The punch actually cuts out four separate images.  I stamped the outline of the background leaves on a piece of Basic White card stock and then layered everything on top.  I used one of the Basic Border Dies to cut the stitched zigzag design.  Then I layered this on a piece of Fresh Freesia card stock.  The sentiment is from the stamp set called In Bloom.

It is now February 17th which means there are only 11 more days for the Stampin’ Up!® Sale-a-bration and for you to get free products with a qualifying order.  My favorite products I got for free is the Berry Blessings Bundle.  This bundle includes the Berry Blessings stamp set and the Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper.  This bundle pairs perfectly with the Sweet Strawberry Bundle that is in the 2021 January – June Mini Catalog.  The Sweet Strawberry stamp set gives you gorgeous strawberries and the Berry Blessings stamp set compliments them with blueberries and raspberries. Plus, the Berry Delightful DSP has strawberries in it.  It is a perfect combination!

To make this card I first layered a piece of the Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper on top of a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock.  I layered both of them on top of a Poppy Parade card base.  Then I stamped the strawberries in Poppy Parade ink and cut them out using the Strawberry Builder Punch.  By the way, you can get the Sweet Strawberry stamp set and the Strawberry Builder Punch for 10% off if you purchase them in a bundle.  I stamped the stems using Granny Apple Green ink on Granny Apple Green cardstock and punched them out using the punch.  I stamped the flowers in Flirty Flamingo ink and punched them out too.  I stamped the sentiment and leaves onto a piece of Basic White cardstock and cut that out using the Stitched Rectangle dies.  I layered that onto a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock.  I adhered the strawberries using Multipurpose Glue and the flowers using Stampin’  Dimensionals.  I thought it needed something more so I put some Playing With Patterns Resin Dots in the middle of the flowers.

Remember you only have 11 more days to earn free products during Sale-a-bration!   Better hurry before it is over!

Stampin Up Sweet Strawberry

Can you believe it is February already?  I don’t know how time flies by so quickly.  I think part of the problem is, it always seems like we are waiting for something.  We are waiting for our birthday or a vacation or retirement or just for the day to be over.  Julie Salva, who is a Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator and my “upline” for another direct sales company I am a member of, did a video right before Christmas this year.  She talked about how sad it was that her Christmas was being spent alone with no children because they are usually together.  Then she talked about being “present”.  Live for the present.  Enjoy the present even if it is a change from the norm.  I loved her message and I am trying to live for the present these days instead of wishing the time would go faster because <insert whatever reason here>.  I am hoping this will slow time down.  I am not convinced that will happen but it still was a great message and a good philosophy to live by.

So February starts the second and last month of Sale-a-bration this winter.  There are so many great products in the SAB catalog that you can get for free with a qualifying order.  One of my favorite products is the Berry Blessings Bundle.  This bundle includes the Berry Blessing stamp set and the Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper pack.  You can get both of these items for free with a $100 order.  Another great thing about this bundle is it coordinates with the Sweet Strawberry Bundle that is in the 2021 January – June Mini Catalog. The Sweet Strawberry Bundle includes the Sweet Strawberry stamp set and the Strawberry Builder punch.   I decided to use both bundles for this card.  By the way, both stamp sets are two-step stamps sets which means it take two stamps to make one image.

The first thing I did was cut a piece of the Berry Delightful DSP on an angle and adhere it to a piece of Basic White cardstock.  I wanted it to look like a table with a table cloth on top.  Then I stamped the strawberries, strawberry tops and the flowers and punched them out using the Strawberry Builder Punch.  I stamped the blueberries and cut them out by hand and layered them all together.  I stamped the sentiment, which is in the Sweet Strawberry stamp set, in Garden Green ink in the corner and layered all of that on a piece of Garden Green cardstock.

Sale-a-bration is the best time of year because you can earn free products with a qualifying purchase.  It is also the best time to join my Stampin’ Up! family. For $99 you can pick $125 worth of products from the Annual or Spring Catalogs. Plus you get

  • A an assortment of six 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper packs
  • Free business supplies
  • Free shipping!!
