Super Duper Revisited

As you can tell, I have been showing you past and present creations using retiring stamp sets and merchandise.  This time I used the stamp set called Super Duper.  I love this set because it has big, fun fonts.  It has everything you need to make a fun, yet simple, birthday card for anyone.

To make this card, I stamped the “Super Duper” sentiment onto Whisper White cardstock and then cut it out.  It is fairly simple to cut out since it has pretty straight lines so even you fussy-cutting phobics (like me!) can do it without much trouble.  I then stamped the small sentiment onto Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and hand cut it out into a banner.

I used two different Designer Series Papers to make this card.  Both of them are also retiring.  The black and white striped paper is called Tutti-Fruitti and the Lemon Lime Twist paper is called Picture Perfect Party.  Both of them are in the 2018 Occasions Catalog.

Here are some more cards I made in the past using the Super Duper stamp set.

Super Duper

Today is my son, Sam’s birthday.  Sam has grown into an amazing man (it is hard to say your son is a man!).  Rob and I are very proud of him.  He is an amazing cardiologist, who is finally going to be done with his schooling on June 30th and get a real job!  He is an awesome father to Madelyn and Nolan and he is just a really nice guy.  It is hard to believe that he is 34 today.  I am not sure how that happened so quickly but it is true.

I made this card using the stamp set called Super Duper.  I love this set because the sentiments are all big and as you know, I love big sentiments.  I stamped the “YAY!” in Bermuda Bay and then cut it out using the Layering Circle Dies.  I cut a piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock using the Stitched Shaped Dies.  I stamped the balloons in Pacific Point and cut them out by hand.  As you know I am not fond of fussing cutting but I think I did pretty well with these balloons.  Luckily they aren’t complicated shapes.

The Designer Series Paper is called Bubbles & Fuzz.  It is part of the Sale-a-bration Catalog which means you can get it for free with a qualifying order!

Here is a picture of Sam and Madelyn at their first Father-Daughter Dance.  I am not so sure about the beard but I guess he is too old to ask him mom about it.

Happy birthday, Sam.  I hope you have an awesome day!  Your dad and I love you.

Blooms & Wishes

Here is another oldie but goodie stamp set I haven’t used in a while.  When the new catalog comes out I tend to forget about the stamps sets that were carried over and play with the new toys more often.  I’ve been trying to use some of the older sets mixed in with the new ones more often.

I used the stamp set called Blooms and Wishes to make the background of this card.  The colors are Peekaboo Peach, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Wild Wasabi.  I love these colors because they remind me of summer, my favorite time of year.  I can’t believe it is August already!  I don’t know where the time goes but I wish it would slow down.  August is my favorite month because it is my birthday month but it also was a sad month because it means back to school soon.  Of course, when my kids were little, I loved it when they went back to school but when I was younger, not so much.  By the way, since it is my birthday month, I expect homemade cards from each and every one of you!  No slacking this year!

The “Yay!” is from the stamp set called Super Duper.  This set has super duper sized stamps which are always a favorite.

Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Off Challenge

TGIF because it is time for another Buffy, Jackie and Susan Stamp Off Challenge!  This week our challenge is to use Framelits or Thinlits in our project.

Now that I look at the picture of our challenge, I realize that maybe I read it wrong.  Maybe we were supposed to frame something.  Hmmm.  Well, if that is the case, I have once again broken the rules.  Oh wait.  There are no rules!  I love these challenges!

Well, maybe I did ok.  I did “frame” the sentiment with flowers.  I am going with that!

I used the stamp set called Beautiful Bouquet on this card.  This set has matching Framelits called Bouquet Bunch and you can save 10% by purchasing them both in a Bundle.  The sentiments come from the stamp set called Super Duper, which has large sentiments that I love.  The Designer Series Paper I used is called Colorful Theory.

Now, let’s go see if Buffy or Jackie broke the rules followed the challenge the way it was meant to be.

Super Duper

This is a quick and easy birthday card you can make in just a couple of minutes.  It seems like lately all I have had is a couple of minutes to make a card.  Life happens but you still want to remember someone special on their birthday and a homemade card is a great way to do that.

The sentiment is from a stamp set called Super Duper.  This set was originally in the 2017 Occasions Catalog and thankfully, it was carried over into the Annual Catalog.  It has some great sentiments that are large.  Since they are so large, you can get away with just using them on the card.]

The Designer Series Paper is called Color Therapy.  The Ombre look is super popular right now so this paper is perfect.

An In Color Stamp Off Challenge

Good morning everyone.  It is time for another Stamp Off Challenge.  This time we have an InColor Challenge.  We can use at least two InColors for our creations.

I needed to make a masculine birthday card so I did not have a lot of choice in the colors I used so I decided to go with Dapper Denim and Emerald Envy.  I thought it needed a little pop of color so I used a small piece of Lemon Lime Twist.

I used the stamp set called Super Duper.  This is a great set because it has big sentiments (I love big sentiments).  I stamped it three times (once on Whisper White cardstock, once on Dapper Denim and once on Lemon Lime Twist) and then cut out all the pieces and put them back together.  The Designer Series Paper is new and called Pick A Pattern.

Don’t forget today and tomorrow are the last days I am offering FREE Shipping on all orders over $50 as a way of saying thank you to all of my customers!  You can place an order online using the Hostess Code PJ6PNF26 and I will rebate you your shipping costs by PayPal or check.  You have to order before 6:00 PM EST tomorrow to get this fabulous deal and you have to use the Hostess Code in order to qualify.  This offer does not include expedited shipping.

Now let’s go see what Buffy and Jackie made.
