Tea Party In Colors

Tea PartyEvery year Stampin’ Up! comes out with five new colors that are available for 2 years.  They are called In Colors and I made this card using the new 2014/2015 In Colors that will be in the new Annual Catalog that comes out on June 2nd.  The colors I used are called Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon and Blackberry Bliss.  The other two I didn’t use are called Mossy Meadow and Tangelo Twist.  The Honey Hello is a really nice gold yellow and pairs well with all the new In Coors.

The stamp set I used for this card is called Tea Party.  It reminds me of an old fashioned tea party.  The little flower in the corner is also a sneak peek of one of the new punches included in a three pack called Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (there is also a star and a heart in this set of punches).  Lastly, the banner is made from a new pack of Designer Series Paper called Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack that is also in the upcoming catalog.

Having A Modern Tea Party

DSC01411

I know some (or I should say most) of you are coffee drinkers but there are still a few tea drinkers in this world.  I am one of those people.  Actually, I have never had a cup of coffee in my life.  I think it was because my parents were not coffee drinkers because my two sisters don’t drink it either.

I made this card using the stamp set called Tea Party.  The Designer Series Paper is called Modern Medley and is Basic Black and Very Vanilla.  The picture in the catalog makes it look black and white but it really is not.  The ribbon is 3/8″ Ruffle Sretch Trim in Coastal Cabana.

Tea Party is one of those Stampin Up! stamp sets that are really meant to be used with vintage cards.  I really think someone needs to spend some time with me teaching me how to do vintage cards because I just can’t get the hang of it.  So here is a vintage stamp set in a “clean” card once again.

As you know, I am having a love affair with the new In Colors.  Each color is just so beautiful alone but they go together so nicely too.  This card uses Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe and Coastal Cabana.  I have heard this said before, but I agree that whomever named these new colors must have been hungry when they did it.  Four out of five names have something to do with food (the others are Baked Brown Sugar and Strawberry Slush).

The catalog this year has beautiful In Color ribbons called 3/8″ Ruffle Stretch Trim.  I used it in Crisp Cantaloupe.  I cut out the banners using the Bitty Banners Framelits and the Designer Series Paper is from the In Color Designer Series Paper Stacks.

Having A Tea Party With Fresh Made Sketches

Freshly Made Sketches

Freshly Made Sketches

For this week’s Freshly Made Sketches I used the new stamp set called Tea Party.  There are two morning drink sets in the new catalog.  One features coffee (it is called A Perfect Blend) and I have noticed that many of my coffee drinking friends have gotten this set.  I have never had a cup of coffee in my life but I do drink one cup of tea in the morning so I thought it was appropriate for me to get this set.  This “battle” between coffee and tea drinkers has been going on for a long time.  It is kind of like the Android versus Apple conflict.  Don’t ask what side of the fence I am in that argument, although most of you probably know already.  Just ask my husband, Rob!  For now, I won’t even go there!  I am sorry for my digression.

Anyway, here is this week’s Freshly Made Sketch.
