Masculine Birthday Card

I always have such a hard time coming up with a birthday card (or any card) for men.  If I were to be totally realistic, most men would prefer a store birthday card with a tractor or hot babe on it or maybe some funny joke but they aren’t going to get one of those from me.  Yes, I know, that was a sexist statement, but really, who is going to argue?  Rob, my husband, seems to really  like my cards so I guess he is the exception.  At least he seems to like my cards but maybe he is just being nice.  That could be why we have been married so long!

In any case, this card was made using the Hearts A Flutter Framelits to make the banners.  The happy birthday is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and is punched out with the Ticket Duo Builder Punch.  The background uses the Chevron Embossing Folder.

More Christmas Cards

Here are a couple of Christmas cards I received from friends.  Both of the cards used the embossing folder called Holiday Frame which is in the Holiday Catalog.  Debby’s used a retired color called Ballet Blue for her card.  I know it is hard to see, but she added sparkles to the frame using Dazzling Diamonds.  The ornament in the middle is from the set called Joyous Celebrations also from the Holiday Catalog.

Sandy made the next card which also used the Holiday Frame Embossing Folder.   She then used the Oval from the Designer Frames Embossing Folders in the center with a cute little bow at the top.  Her sentiment is from my favorite word set called Teeny Tiny Wishes.  It is embossed in gold and so are the ends of the pennant.  The card is adorable!
