Another Stamp Off Challenge

Stamp Off New Logo

Today is another Stamp Off Challenge.  When the three of us first started this we had decided to just do it occasionally.  Now it seems like we do a challenge every Friday (which is ok by me).  We are having fun and that is what counts.  The best part is that none of us know what the other two are doing so it is a surprise for us too.

inking embossing folder

This week we have an Embossing Folder Challenge where we have to stamp with an Embossing Folder.  This because a really popular technique when Stampin’ Up! came out with the Woodlands Embossing Folder.  In any case, I decided to combine my new Watercolor Class Techniques with this challenge.  For those of you who haven’t been paying attention, I am taking a Watercolor Class for Card Makers and love it!

Fabulous Four

I first made my watercolor background using Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango.  After that dried, I inked up the Tiny Triangles Embossing Folder with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and “stamped” it on the card.  All you do is put your piece of cardstock inside the Embossing Folder, close it and press down.

Now check out what amazing projects Jackie made HERE and Buffy made HERE!  See you next week!

You Make Me Happy

Flower Shop, Petite Petals

Stampin’ Up! has awesome Embossing Folders.  There are so many to choose from that I am sure anyone can find quite a few to love.  The Embossing Folder I used for this card is called Tiny Triangles (most of the names of these folders are pretty much explanatory! ). It is a new Embossing Folder in the Annual Catalog.

As you all know I am a Designer Series Paper hoarder.  I love Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper so much that I hate using it because it will be all gone.  My resolution this year was to stop this hoarding and start using it.  The background is from Back to Black Designer Series Paper.  All the sheets are black and white.  I love using black and white and then adding a splash of color as I did with this card.
