Trees For Sale

Stampin Up Trees For Sale

On Wednesday I had some of my stamp club members from my previous home over for a fun night of stamping.  I love it when we can get together for a night of stamping, eating and laughs.  Since we moved to Nashville I don’t get to see these ladies very often. This is one of the cards I designed for them to make.

We used the stamp set called Trees For Sale.  This stamp set is in the 2022 July – December Mini Catalog.  At first, I didn’t even really look at it seriously when I was going through that catalog.  Then I opened the new Sale-a-bration Catalog!  In there they have the coordinating dies called Tree Lot for the Trees For Sale stamp set.  The best part of it is you can get it for FREE with a qualifying purchase!  When I saw the dies, I knew I had to have them both.

To make this card I first stamped the trees in Garden Green and Evening Evergreen Ink.  It takes two stamps the make each tree.  One stamps the outside and the second one does the darker branches.  There are three different-sized trees in the set.  Next, I stamped the string of lights and colored them using Daffodil Delight, Real Red and Garden Green markers.  I cut out the pole using Soft Suede card stock and adhered it using Multipurpose Glue.  Next, I cut out all the pieces of the camper using Real Red, Garden Green and So Saffron card stock and glued them together and then onto the background piece.  Then I stamped the sign in Soft Suede ink and cut it out using the coordinating die.  Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in Garden Green ink.

There are a lot of products in the Sale-a-bration catalog that you could earn for free.  These include stamps, dies and Designer Series Paper.  Unfortunately, the set of Pool Party and Soft Sea Foam Cards and Envelopes have sold out.  Once an item in the SAB catalog sells out, it is gone for good so if you like something, you should order soon.

Stampin Up Trees For Sale

Happy 4th of July!  I hope you all had a terrific weekend celebrating the holiday with family and friends.  We had a crazy weekend.  My son, Sam, his wife Tara and their children Madelyn and Nolan arrived on Friday to spend the week with us.  They all love it here as much as we do.  Maddie wanted to jump in the lake the second she got here.  All the neighbors and their children, grandchildren and dogs were here so it was a wild weekend with lots of fun and craziness.  Sam invited some friends and their families over on Sunday so we had a big cookout where everyone swam, jet skied and played lots of games.  It was so much fun.

As you know the 2022 July – December Mini Catalog started on July 1st.  There are tons of new and fun products in this catalog.  It is also Sale-a-bration time where you can earn products for free with a qualifying purchase.  One of the fun things Stampin’ Up! did this year was to offer a stamp set in the Mini Catalog and have coordinating dies available in the Sale-a-bration catalog.  The stamp set is called Trees For Sale and you can get the Tree Lot Dies for free with a $100 order.  If you like the stamp set you just have to get the dies (and visa versa).  The dies cut out the trees, the dog and many of the other stamps but it also has a variety of dies to cut out a camper.  It is just adorable.

To make this card, I first stamped the trees in many different colors.  I used Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Garden Green and Sea Foam Green.  Each tree background has a coordinating stamp that adds the “inside” of the trees.  Next, I cut all the layers of the camper.  I used Fresh Freesia, Smoky Slate, Basic Black and Orchid Oasis.  I actually saw a camper going down the road that was close to these colors.  Some company (I didn’t catch the name) is making new retro campers that are so cute with fun colors.   I love that there are extra dies to cut the details out.

I used a sentiment from the stamp set called Honeybee Home for the sentiment.  my son, Zachary and his family love to camp so I thought I would send this card to them.

I hope you all enjoy the holiday today and are able to spend it with family and/or friends.
