Lots Of Heart

Stampin Up Lots Of Heart

I hope everyone had a nice Valentine’s Day and that you could spend time with someone or something you love.  Rob and I are enjoying our time in Florida.  There is nothing like a little sunshine, sand and water to soothe your soul and relax you.

Here is another Valentine I made this year using the Lots Of Heart stamp set and the coordinating dies called Many Hearts.  This bundle is in the 2021 January – June Mini Catalog and you can save 10% by purchasing them together.   You know, you can always use hearts year round and not just for Valentine’s Day.  Hearts are great for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays or any other time you want to show someone you care.

When I designed this card, I found a piece of Well Suited Designer Series Paper that I had cut a piece out of.  I decided to cut off that section and was left with a odd shaped piece so I ended using the corner of it.  I adhered it to a piece of Basic Gray cardstock that was also a leftover and fit perfectly.

After that I stamped the heart in Cherry Cobbler ink using the plaid heart in the Lots Of Heart stamp set.  The best way to ink up and stamp this heart is to use your Stamparatus.  That way if the solid area does not come out totally covered in ink you can ink it up again and re-stamp it in the exact same place.  Then I cut it out using the coordinating heart die.  The Many Heart Dies include a die that cuts out the outline as well as the inside heart so I used that die three times.  I cut the plaid heart out and then two more out of Basic Gray cardstock.  I layered the outline of one around the plaid heart and the other to use by itself.

The sentiment if from the stamp set called Meant To Be which is in the 2020/2021 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog.

Lots Of Hearts

Stampin Up Lots Of Hearts

Every year my family has a tradition of sending Valentine cards to each other.  Ii send them to both of my sisters, my Mom, my children and my grandchildren.  I think it is a really nice tradition and I love getting those cards from them.  This year I decided to keep with my resolution to use my beautiful Stampin’ Up!® Designer Series Paper.  I had too keep is pretty simple since I had to make a lot of them!

I knew I wanted to use the Love You Always Specialty Designer Series Paper.  This paper is just gorgeous.  The colors are beautiful and soft and very shiny!  It pairs perfectly with the Love You Always Foil Sheets.  Both of these products are part of the Love You Always Suite that is in the 2021 January – June Catalog.

This card is what you call a CAS (Clean and Simple).  Designer Series Paper is great to use for this kind of card because it adds so much to it.  To make this card I first cut a piece of the Love You Always Specialty DSP in Rococo Rose.  I add a small strip of the Love You Always Foil Sheets and adhered it to a piece of Basic White cardstock that I had embossed using the Tasteful Textures Embossing Folder.  I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set called Meant To Be in Rococo Rose ink and cut it out using a heart die the Many Hearts Die set which is also in the Mini Catalog..  Then I cut out the outline heart in the Love You Always Foil sheets to put around the sentiment heart.  Simple but very pretty.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine’s Day.

A Valentine Challenge

Today’s BS & J Productions Stamp Off Challenge is to make a Valentine.  This was not a hard challenge because Stampin’ Up!® has some awesome stamp sets and Bundles to make them.

To make my card I used the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies for the background.  I cut out five of the heart border die and adhered them to a 4.25″ x 5.5″ piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock.  I wanted the hearts to hang off the edge so I trimmed to cardstock to 3.75″ x 5″.  I added some of the hearts randomly back that were left when I cut the background.  Then all I had to do was stamp the sentiment from the stamp set called Another Wonderful Year in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and attach it to the card.

Now let’s go see what kind of Valentine Jackie and Buffy made.  I can’t wait to see!

Meant To Be

This is another card we made at our monthly stamp club meeting.  I used products from the 2019 Occasions Catalog.  The stamp set is called Meant To Be.  It has matching dies called Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies.  These dies are so much fun because some of them are very different.  Some only do stitching and others cut out.  Here is a video that Stampin’ Up!® did showing you this stamp and die set.

The colors I used to make this card are Balmy Blue, Mint Macaron and So Saffron.  I wanted to show the club members that you don’t have to just use the usual Valentine colors and that this set can be used for more than just Valentines.

The background for this card was cut out using the Rectangle Stitched Dies.  I am warning you now.  You are going to see a lot of cards made with these dies.  They are awesome and my favorite thing in the Occasion Catalog.

Another great thing is if you buy the Meant To Be Bundle, you will be eligible to get free products from the 2019 Sale-a-bration Catalog!  There is nothing better than free!

Simple Gold Sale-A-Bration Valentine

DSC01854

Sometimes simple is better.  At least it is if you are a CAS (Clean and Simple) stamper like me!  I like the clean look.  I also like the vintage look but just can’t manage to make it look right so I stick with what I know.

This white on white Valentine uses the stamp set called Delightful Dozen.  This is a great stamp set because it has a greeting for just about any holiday or theme you might need.  It includes a greeting for birthday, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas, Get Well and, of course, Valentine’s Day (and more!).  I always recommend this set, especially for a beginner stamper who doesn’t have much because it covers everything.

I embossed the sentiment and the banners with Gold Embossing Powder.  The banners are a stamp set from the Sale-a-bration catalog.  You can get it free with a $50 purchase.  It has the a matching punch too!

Stamp-A-Stack Glimmer

Last night I had a Valentine’s Stamp-A-Stack.  The first card they made use Red Glimmer Paper.  How can anyone make a Valentine without using Red Glimmer Paper.  They just go together.  The Whisper White card stock in the middle was embossed with the heart border from a Big Shot embossing folder set called Adorning Accent Folders.  It is a very simple card but I love the bling.
